My Favorite Quote-   "When you get into a tight place and everything goes against you, till it seems as though you could not hold on a minute longer, never give up then, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn." -Harriet Beecher Stowe

I have recently lost a lot of weight and running is very new to me (I started running about 2 years ago).  I have 6 fantastic kids, 3 girls and 3 boys and a wonderful husband.

My new weight goal is to have lost 100 pounds.  I am quite sure I can get to about 93, but I am not sure about the 100.  The weight tracker is tracking my total weight loss.

Alright- who hijacked my legs and made them so SORE!  Needless to say- I walked today with a token jog here and there.  I am going to walk 2.5 in the morning and night until they feel better.  I am hoping by Wednesday they are healed, because I have a 5 mi run with my friend Kim R ( I have lots of friends named Kim :)

Nice day though, and I ran into my friend Jill and ran home with her to her beautiful garden.  Took home a bushel of oregano and a overgrown radish for my bunny.  Thumps LOVES radish greens.

I LOVE the warm weather!  It feels SO good to be warm all the way through!

I headed out for another attempt at a run tonight.  It went much better.  I walked for the first half and ran home the second.  It was dusk and very nice out.  I am going to do a bit of yoga and then go to bed.

On a strange note, I ate about half a watermelon, half a pineapple and a banana today.  I guess I am craving some vit C, potassium, and water!  I dunno, strange, but it sure tasted good!

I bet your legs are sore!! Kind of a good sore though I bet, like you really worked them and you are toughing it out and getting stronger and better! Good idea to take it easy for a bit. Thanks for all the comments on my blog, they are SOOOO helpful and upbeat! I don't know how you do all this with 6 kids, you are truely are a supermom!

Best thing to work out that soreness is to get them moving. Great job on getting out there and pushing through the soreness.

"just keep running, just keep running" You know like Dori. Its my mantra with kids! I am just kicking my self that I didn't walk Sat night and Sunday too. The moving helps SO much!

Thanks so much for your encouragement!!!

Do you have a bike? If yes, ride it hard every day until you can run normally. The soreness should go away in 3-4 days or so.

I do have a bike! I'll hop on it and ride like the mad woman that I am! Thanks for the idea! I need all of the good ones I can get!!!

Nothing strange about it. When your body does what it is supposed to, it also asks for what is supposed to go in it.

I figured as much, so I went for it. My family wondered where it all went and I just smiled and shrugged my shoulders!

Our bodies are SO cool!!
