My Favorite Quote-   "When you get into a tight place and everything goes against you, till it seems as though you could not hold on a minute longer, never give up then, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn." -Harriet Beecher Stowe

I have recently lost a lot of weight and running is very new to me (I started running about 2 years ago).  I have 6 fantastic kids, 3 girls and 3 boys and a wonderful husband.

My new weight goal is to have lost 100 pounds.  I am quite sure I can get to about 93, but I am not sure about the 100.  The weight tracker is tracking my total weight loss.

Beautiful morning!!!  WOW a ton of Hobble Creek runners were out this morning doing training runs.  I went five with Kim, she has another five to go today :)  Not me- I am done and a smidge over my planned miles.

The running is feeling really good as far as the legs go.  My cardio is holding me back at this point.  I am so surprised at how tired I am during the runs.   I am going to make sure next week is a lot slower than this week.  Some of you may think that it is not possible to go any slower, but I assure you I can ;)

Have a GREAT weekend.  Oh and check out my last three splits- how weird is that?

FREAKY WEIRD!!! As long as you are feeling good, I think you are okay! Any breaks, I think, make the cardiovascular part hard to "feel good" again, but you are doing AWESOME!!!

How was dinner last night? I hope you enjoyed it!

From marion on Aug 16, 2008 at 12:22:36

Dinner was DIVINE!! I love indian food and Bombay House is the BEST!!! I was pretty darn good, as far a food choices. I had bubble gum Ice cream at 31 flavors, and boy that was YUMM! I have never gotten over my love for that flavor.

From Kelli on Aug 16, 2008 at 12:48:14

Of all the flavors of ice cream (and I love most), that is one I can not stand!!! I am glad you enjoyed it and that you were pretty darn good but not perfect! THAT is what life is about.

Nice consistency over the last three, Marion! How is the biking coming along?

From marion on Aug 16, 2008 at 13:01:55

The biking is BAD!!! Not that biking is bad, but MY biking is. The doc made me lay off for the last bit of my recovery and I have not ridden (that looks weird) since. I need to get gloves. I have frankly been so excited to run again that I have totaly spaced my poor bike. I have been making my kids ride everywhere- to save $$$$. :D

Hey Kelli- I have learned that bubble gum ice cream is either a love or hate. I am happy to eat ALL the bubble gum ice cream IN THE WORLD!!!!

Hey I was up Hobble Creek! When did you start? Did you see us? Dang, I have yet to meet the vivacious Marion in person again!

From marion on Aug 16, 2008 at 13:51:36

No No- sorry- we were up Payson canyon and there were a ton of runners up that way. Sorry for the confusion :) I think I am going to mark all of my shirts with a huge FRB on the back. Only we will know who we are anyway! ;)

From MarcieJ on Aug 16, 2008 at 13:55:43

Marion,

You need to get a FRB singlet. If you call steve at the running store in SG and pay for it and I could pick it up and bring it to you at the start of Hobblecreek.

From marion on Aug 16, 2008 at 14:38:52

Hey Marcie- Thanks I'll call down ther and let you know if I need you to get it. What day are you leaving?

From marion on Aug 16, 2008 at 14:49:56

Hey Marcie- I ordered the siglet and Steve said he'd talk to you and tell you when it will be ready. THANKS so much!!!

From MarcieJ on Aug 16, 2008 at 16:33:16

Sweet, I will keep in touch with him. I am coming friday. Private message me your number and maybe I could get it to you on friday so you would have it before the race.

You see runners? How great is that! When I go out for a run (small rural area) the people in cars (and/or tractors) drive by looking as if they're trying to figure out if I'm being chased or if my car broke down.

Glad your running is feeling good. Keep up the positive attitude :)

From leslie on Aug 16, 2008 at 21:37:08

Good Marion! Were you carrying anything odd on your run? Check out Maurine's blog and see if you can read her post without laughing out load. I want a singlet too!!! Then maybe I would be a real live runner!
