My Favorite Quote-   "When you get into a tight place and everything goes against you, till it seems as though you could not hold on a minute longer, never give up then, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn." -Harriet Beecher Stowe

I have recently lost a lot of weight and running is very new to me (I started running about 2 years ago).  I have 6 fantastic kids, 3 girls and 3 boys and a wonderful husband.

My new weight goal is to have lost 100 pounds.  I am quite sure I can get to about 93, but I am not sure about the 100.  The weight tracker is tracking my total weight loss.

Beautiful morning run!!!  59 degrees when I started.  I got to take Buster with me this morning!  My brother Adam and his family stayed the night and brought their lab Buster.  He was a very good running partner.  I have no idea the pace or time.  The run felt really nice and relaxed.  My calves are twinging, so I will be massaging and stretching all day.

I hope everyone has a great day and Labor Day weekend!

Be sure to check out my previous blogs for Labor Day breakfast info.  Everyone is welcome!

I just read all your blogs this morning. It is so fun! I am jealous of all of you that are doing Onion Days and Breakfast at Marions. If I can knock out my husband I might sneak away.

Do you not love the runs where you have no worries---you are just running whatever fells good? And there is a bird singing on your shoulder, and you see everything through rose colored glasses? I love those runs---i do not have them often, but I love them when I do!

Vacuuming right behind me as we speak.

I used to have a lab who ran with me for 12 years and died two years ago of bone cancer. It was such a huge loss for me, but they are the greatest running pals! I adopted an australian shepherd this time, and she's a cutie too. I hope to be able to come to Ungion Days, can you PM the directions in case I can't come with Sarah? Yay Onion breakfast!

Oh Luz i am SO sorry about your dog. My 14 year old golden retriever, Willie, is burried in our front yard. I was so shocked at how horrible it was when he died. His dog house name plate is next to my stove. So, so, sad, they are just the best!!!

I am so glad that you found a new Seeing Eye dog so you can run again! "Hey, Seeing Eye dog, bark once if I am going to run into a rock, bark twice if I am lost. Has anyone seen my Seeing Eye dogs? I am blind and deaf and can't find my dogs?"

Should we grill up some onions to go on our pancakes?

Oh, we had a dog named Willie! He lived to the ripe old age of 14, as well. We got him when Ashly was 4 months old---they grew up together. We moved 2 years ago and it did him in. He was getting old as it was, but the move put him over the edge. However, he was horrible to run with---he had ADHD and could not stay focused on anything for longer than 5 seconds. We nicknamed him "Kramer," he had that darn Kramer slide across the floor as you enter the room thing down pat!

Thanks for letting me reminisce about my dog. I loved my dog!
