My Favorite Quote-   "When you get into a tight place and everything goes against you, till it seems as though you could not hold on a minute longer, never give up then, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn." -Harriet Beecher Stowe

I have recently lost a lot of weight and running is very new to me (I started running about 2 years ago).  I have 6 fantastic kids, 3 girls and 3 boys and a wonderful husband.

My new weight goal is to have lost 100 pounds.  I am quite sure I can get to about 93, but I am not sure about the 100.  The weight tracker is tracking my total weight loss.

Hey, yesterday I took, or I should say Michelle took, 1 min 20 seconds off of my 5k on Labor Day :)

Today's run was low and slow.  I had to stop at a 1/2 mile due to severe calf cramps.  I stretched and rubbed them out and then they were fine.  We walked a lot during the first 4 miles off and on.  The legs were MUSH, well not so much mush as TOTALLY NOT FRESH!  The complete opposite of fresh :)  The last two miles were just fine.  I am guessing the legs just had to get the idea that there was no way out of this run today.

Today I am making salsa FOR SURE!!  I roasted all of the garlic, peppers and onions yesterday.  The tomatoes are peeled.  Now I just have to throw it all together and VOILA!!!  Yummy salsa!  Salsa is DONE :)  18 quarts! But I tripped in the carport over David's STUPID car that he is working on and busted up my ankle and elbow!  They HURT!!!!!  I'm so ticked at him.  I asked him to move the STUPID thing last night!!!

Running- 6.1 miles  1:24:53, best 9:23, ave 13:57 Laps- 13:18, 13:47, 15:07, 14:44, 11:12, 11:00

Biking- 39 minutes = 3.25 running miles  Time whise, I don't need this much biking today, but I may as well get two miles in as one :D  I did more because I just felt like it.  I had a major "come to Jesus" with myself about what I want to do with running.  I made some pretty lofty goals and I am feeling excited.

Yoga- 60 minutes

Marion you rock! All that exercise and still made salsa. I LOVE salsa. I'm going to eat some since you said that.

Great job putting in the miles even when sore and tired. You rock!

Jon- you know that expression on your kids face when you tell them that the job they think is all finished, isn't even close? Well that is what my legs were feeling today. They even cried a bit and then tried a temper tantrum. :) These legs of mine are such baby whiners!

Thanks Jodi :) YOu rocked today :)

Great run, but are you OKAY? I think David needs a TIME OUT! I am anxious to hear about the new goals. Did Michelle and Ali have anything to do with it??? You are a superstar!

From Teena on Sep 20, 2008 at 23:59:04

How is your ankle!!??

You seriously are Super Woman!!

Can wait until you share all of your goals with us. You are going to share them, right?

Hope you are having a wonderful evening.

My ankle hurts and is swollen :( I think it is pretty superficial :)

I am not sure i am going to share my new goals because they are pretty lofty and vain ;) They are sort of silly and something like a 7 year old might make :)

Thanks you guys! You are super nice ;D
