Personal:

My Favorite Quote-   "When you get into a tight place and everything goes against you, till it seems as though you could not hold on a minute longer, never give up then, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn." -Harriet Beecher Stowe

I have recently lost a lot of weight and running is very new to me (I started running about 2 years ago).  I have 6 fantastic kids, 3 girls and 3 boys and a wonderful husband.

My new weight goal is to have lost 100 pounds.  I am quite sure I can get to about 93, but I am not sure about the 100.  The weight tracker is tracking my total weight loss.

It's really hard to tell the difference between "needing" to take a break and just being too lazy to run.  I am going to err on the side of caution and take today off.  My legs feel great, maybe I am just being lazy?  (those dang olympics!!!)  Ok, I'll go run just 2 miles right now.  Slow and flat.  I'll be right back :D

I'm back :)  Nice slow easy run. Ave pace 11:12.  Boy it sure feels good to run.  I am glad I went :D  Lots of smiles today.

I am going to make raspberry jam today.  YUMM!  The humming birds are buzzing my window!  David has the day off.  Life is GOOD!!!  We are going to the Bombay House for dinner tonight!  LIFE ROCKS!! I love indian food.  We are going to the temple tonight after dinner to do a bunch of Family File sealings :)  Wow, life is great today!  Hey, I may even get some more cupboard painted :D  OH and yesterday we found 42 ccents!  I am RICH to boot!  Oh and speaking of rich, our gasoline bill was only $300 this month!  I am blessed!

Have a great day!  Be safe and swift!!!

I totally get it! It is fine line! Good girl, 2 miles will make you feel good about yourself!!! Dang those Olympics, they are addicting.

Yay for beating lazy thoughts!!! See, the olympics are supposed to inspire us to be MORE athletic, not less!!!

Glad you got out and ran! Good job. (Send some jam my way)

From Kelli on Aug 15, 2008 at 13:21:53

WOW! You are chipper today! I am munching on a slice of bread---could you send some jam my way? They would go great together!

Good for you for getting out. I will take lessons from you on not being lazy! At what point do you just hop and RUN, just like hopping up and taking a shower, or brushing your teeth??

From marion on Aug 15, 2008 at 13:42:26

Ok- whoever comes down and runs WITH me (slow as I am) gets a thing of homemade fresh freezer jam! The Payson Canyon Fox Club foxes LOVE jam :)

Running on some days is like ripping off a bandage. You just gotta do it fast before you chicken out ;D I also wanted the extra activity points for dinner tonight! My favorite dish, Coconut Chicken Kourma, is 15 points per cup! Ouch!! I can eat about 5 cups of it, along with the Naan and rice, I am looking at about 300 points for dinner tonight. The secret is out, I am not some great motivated runner, but a great monstrous eater! Oh, the shame ;)

From Kelli on Aug 15, 2008 at 13:45:41

I will be first to say that running makes people ravenous!! Or at least my people. But that is funny, because I sometimes will run or go to the gym and do a class so that I can enjoy a night out.

You enjoy your dinner---point free on me!

From marion on Aug 15, 2008 at 13:47:45

Thanks- I'll take that point free dinner ;) I wonder if the scale will go along with that?
