My Favorite Quote-   "When you get into a tight place and everything goes against you, till it seems as though you could not hold on a minute longer, never give up then, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn." -Harriet Beecher Stowe

I have recently lost a lot of weight and running is very new to me (I started running about 2 years ago).  I have 6 fantastic kids, 3 girls and 3 boys and a wonderful husband.

My new weight goal is to have lost 100 pounds.  I am quite sure I can get to about 93, but I am not sure about the 100.  The weight tracker is tracking my total weight loss.

School days!  I am not a big fan of school.  I really like my kids home with me, but alas, this happens every year and I have to get over it.  They are all excited and happy to go.  I have one in High School, Jr High and 2 in Elementary and one in preschool.  I will have one baby home with me for a few hours a few days a week.  I could run with him in the jogger stroller for some resistance training through the winter. ;)

As for my run.  I ran the same route this morning as I did on monday only SIX MINUTES FASTER!!!!  The legs felt great and the cardio part is getting better every day.  The temperature was PERFECT!!!  The route I have been running is the Onion Days 5k route.  I have never realized that it is ever so slightly down hill for the first half and then a tad bit uphill to the end.

My music this morning was perfect.  It seemed to randomly be playing a mellow song then an Evanescence song.  It was just right how it relaxed me as I got tired and stresses and then picked me up as I slowed down.  Wonderful, although I learned that you should not listen to music that makes you cry when you run.  It can be hazardous :)  I was listening to Sally DeFord's "If the Savior Stood Beside Me"  http://www.defordmusic.com/ifthesaviorstoodbesideme.htm  (Scroll down to the two part treble version)  It is so beautiful, but I nearly tripped on a rock :D

Anyway- Have a GREAT day and keep on keeping on!!!

Well, see we are very opposite here! I WANT my kids in school NOW! My HSer starts next week, but my 3 elementary age do not start until Sept. 2nd. I CAN NOT WAIT!!! They are driving me nuts (2 are screaming as we speak.) I am looking forward to some alone time with the 3 year old!

Great run! I have to listen to fast music or my legs stop moving---I totally run to the beat. I dunno how you can run to that mellow stuff that makes you cry! But, heck, I cry just because I am running and it hurts, so who am I to say!!!

Keep up the awesome work.

I agree with you Marion, I always get a bit sad when it's time for the kids to be back in school. I have one at collage and one starting high school this year. :( they grow up so fast.

Great time today!!! your cardio is improving fast! I'm with Kelli on the music though... need a faster beat.

I agree with you. My one and only is a senior in high school. The night before her 1st day she says to me, just think mom this is the last year that you get to wake me up for the first day of school. I told her nope, because dad and I are going to sleep in her dorm at college, so it'll be no different. :) Then went to my room with tears in my eyes.

Great Run indeed! I have to listen to fast music.

Marion, I just checked out your personal blog. Its so cute! I'm really impressed with the life transformation you have made. I think change is the hardest thing we humans are asked to do- and YOU DID IT in a big way! You're an inspiration!
