Personal:

My Favorite Quote-   "When you get into a tight place and everything goes against you, till it seems as though you could not hold on a minute longer, never give up then, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn." -Harriet Beecher Stowe

I have recently lost a lot of weight and running is very new to me (I started running about 2 years ago).  I have 6 fantastic kids, 3 girls and 3 boys and a wonderful husband.

My new weight goal is to have lost 100 pounds.  I am quite sure I can get to about 93, but I am not sure about the 100.  The weight tracker is tracking my total weight loss.

The run was very nice this morning. I felt great when I woke up this morning! YEAH!!  The run felt great except for the last mile and a half.  I was really tired for that portion of the run.  The biking was tiresome.  I am tired now.   I am going to do some laundry today, but not much elseFortunately I was able to get a sub last night so I could rest.  The two days of rest made a big difference for me, I'm sure.  Tomorrow Michelle is going to pace me for a 5k.  I am planning on making salsa tomorrow too.  I am going to grill all of the peppers and onions, when I say "I" I mean David ;)  It should be tasty!  My calves were pretty tight so I stopped and rubbed them out at about .7 miles into the run.

Have a wonderful day all you speedy speedsters!!! :D

I am glad the rest has done you well. You rock!! No push-ups today, though?

From marion on Sep 18, 2008 at 14:39:23

Oh yeah! I forgot the pushups! I'll do my push-ups too :) Thanks for the reminder! You're such a GREAT friend!

From Teena on Sep 18, 2008 at 14:44:35

From MichelleL on Sep 18, 2008 at 19:12:10

Alright, see you tomorrow morning. Get lots of sleep (you're going to need it ;) ).

From marion on Sep 18, 2008 at 19:26:52

Okee Dokee! Pls ring the bell if you see no signs of life. I will leave the front door open, like actually open, just come on in :) I should be ready, I'm usually not late. Are you?

From MichelleL on Sep 18, 2008 at 20:15:54

Are you kidding? No.

From marion on Sep 18, 2008 at 20:29:00

I just thought I'd ask :) My running partner is always 10+ minutes late, so I tell her 15 min early so we can get out on time ;) I think it is just going to be us- so I need you to come up with TONS of very interresting stories to keep my mind off of you kicking my hiney! :D I just ate a great carb dinner. I am still feeling a ton better. :)

From MichelleL on Sep 18, 2008 at 20:31:19

I just had eggs and toast :) (one piece with plum jam, the other with peach).

From marion on Sep 18, 2008 at 20:44:54

Yumm! I love jam and toast. I could eat it forever :) I had brown rice with a very low fat beef stoganoff and cantelope! I am going to drink a TON of water and get to bed early, but not too early or I wake up at 2-4 am and can't get back to sleep :( I skipped the nap today, in hopes of sleeping better tonight. Hey- it's going to be PITCH black out there in the fields- no street lights at all. Any ideas?

From MichelleL on Sep 18, 2008 at 20:57:00

Ideas for what? My philosophy is to run in the dark if its dark. I don't typically bring anything. In fact I don't even own a flashlight that's intended for running. If you want to bring one I'll carry it for you, but don't do it for my sake. I figure I'll watch out for the cars, I don't even necessarily want them to see me.

Good to see you are feeling better :)

From marion on Sep 18, 2008 at 22:40:01

Cool Michelle! :) I just ususally run in the dark where there are street lights. I am totally up for an adventure :)

Thanks Lori!

Hey, you guys be careful not to trip in a hole, or get hit by a car!!! I think you need a flashlight! Be careful!
