My Favorite Quote-   "When you get into a tight place and everything goes against you, till it seems as though you could not hold on a minute longer, never give up then, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn." -Harriet Beecher Stowe

I have recently lost a lot of weight and running is very new to me (I started running about 2 years ago).  I have 6 fantastic kids, 3 girls and 3 boys and a wonderful husband.

My new weight goal is to have lost 100 pounds.  I am quite sure I can get to about 93, but I am not sure about the 100.  The weight tracker is tracking my total weight loss.

There was nothing in the tanks this morning. I couldn't get much water down yesterday :(   I was planning on 10 and then just hoping for 5 and ended up being grateful for 3. :D  I should be GREAT by Monday.

I am going to go can apple sauce and some salsa today.  My neighbor dropped of 6 boxes of apples and I am really excited!  My boys LOVE apple sauce and I LOVE free!  My friend taught me a super fast and easy way to make it.  You only have to wash and quarter the apples, no peeling or coreing.  Then you cook them, steam them really in a big pot (about 20 minuites).  Then you run them through a Victoria Strainer and VOILA- the waste comes out one side and the apple sauce comes out the other!  No sugar and just a 20 minuite water bath and done!!!

FUN FUN FUN!!!!!  Have a great weekend!

I think that I am going to do the CIM Folsom to Sacramento next December.  Anyone up for it?  It starts at 365 ft above sea level and ends at 65 feet above sea level.  December in Sacramento is beautiful :D  This is as close to a down hill sea level marathon that can be found :)

Good job on getting out there even know you didn't feel that great. MMMM apples, I think I will get my feel for apple in the next couple of days.

Mike- you are right! It must be a sign! A good one right?

Josse- So are you ONLY eating apples for 3 days? Please tell me the benefits. ;)

From Kelli on Nov 08, 2008 at 14:14:36

Sorry you are still not feeling great!! But you ran anyway, that is an accomplishment!!

I love PAYSON apples, I grew up on them. DANG, I wish I had some!

I thought I was feeling better. I was by comparison, but the bod was just worn out and not up to it today. I am so glad you guys had a great run!!

From lelsie on Nov 08, 2008 at 17:03:01

Marion, I am not surprised you are still alittle weak, I am sure by Monday you will be good to go too! We missed out on the run to this morning too, so I am hoping I can make it next time.

So what is the name of this marathon in Cal?

From marion on Nov 08, 2008 at 17:05:56

I missed you too! The marathon is called the CIM :) I think it stands for the California International Marathon. It's only 10 hours away from us :) I guess that would be a bit far, but fun :)

From leslie on Nov 08, 2008 at 17:11:25

Marion, that marathon looks like a perfect course, I am going to put it on my "wishlist". I like to do at least one new marathon a year. I remember reading about it once before and it caught my eye. Definately something to think about!!!!

From marion on Nov 08, 2008 at 17:24:45

It would give us a great opporturnity for an awesome time :)

From Jodi on Nov 08, 2008 at 20:38:11

Hope you're feeling better this evening. Good job on getting out there and running anyway.

From Smooth on Nov 09, 2008 at 00:21:45

Congrats on getting the apple sauce and salsa done. That's an endurance chore in itself. There's always another day for a run. Rest up tomorrow and you'll be good to go come Monday.
