Personal:

My Favorite Quote-   "When you get into a tight place and everything goes against you, till it seems as though you could not hold on a minute longer, never give up then, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn." -Harriet Beecher Stowe

I have recently lost a lot of weight and running is very new to me (I started running about 2 years ago).  I have 6 fantastic kids, 3 girls and 3 boys and a wonderful husband.

My new weight goal is to have lost 100 pounds.  I am quite sure I can get to about 93, but I am not sure about the 100.  The weight tracker is tracking my total weight loss.

Very Slow run today- not so much the pace, all be it slow, but it felt really slow and relaxed.  Kim R came :D and we chatted about bread making and food storage.  I am really hungry now :)  It was 59 degrees when we left about 8:15am.  The visor was really great out in the fields.  We ran the 5k route.

I hope you all have a GREAT day and can't wait to see you on Monday :)  It is supposed to be about 78 degrees for the high and stormy.  Cool, less people will be parking all over my side yard.  If you are coming for the race and breakfast, you really might want to park at my house before the race, as the parking gets full from the parade voyeurs and carnival goers :D  Let me know if you need my address and I will PM it to you.

time ??? ave pace ~11:30

FRB Labor Day Potluck Breakfast at my house after the Onion Day's 5k & 10 K.  I am providing the pancakes (banana chocolate chip) and waffles(whole wheat belgian).  If you would like to bring something, please bring some fruit :)  We've got the paper products, juice, strawberries and pineapple coming.  We are meeting at my house between 6 and 6:15 and then walking over to the race start.  Feel free to meet us at the start or at the end of the race too and walk back with us :)  There is a parade at 10 if anyone enjoys that type of torture!  Funny how we'll run for days, but make us watch a parade and we would rather run for days :D  Everyone is welcome- especially your families.  Our house isn't big or fancy, but we've got a lot of grass and love to have company.  We even have a creek to soak your race weary legs ;)

Great job today! I was glad to see that Michelle is going to run on Monday---now I know for sure that someone will be ahead of me and I will not get lost. Oh, wait---she will be way too far ahead of me, so I still might get lost! That is my biggest fear in racing!! I hope it is well marked cause there are not a lot of us running!

Slow but steady sometimes is what your body needs! Good job. And please save a pancake for me!!!

I am jealous of your healthy body and daily runs!!! Next week I am going to try and get back into it! I am still thinking about the Monday morning fun down your way, but I think with our fundraiser the next week, I am going to be swamped... but we shall see, it sounds soooooo fun!!!!

Les- you'd be back home pretty darn early :) By 11 forsure... if we don't chat too much :) I am not going to push it too hard for the race. I am SO afraid of ruining my legs again.

Ohmygosh! Banana chocolate chip pancakes!!! Can I eat those in front of Sasha and Sarah??? Do you have a closet I can hide in? ;)

Michelle- you are such a chicken! :D Of course you can eat whatever you want at my house. It is a food safe zone. :) There will be whole wheat belgian waffles too. They are mighty tasty!!! I might even get whipping cream too :D Lets live on the edge!!!
