Personal:

My Favorite Quote-   "When you get into a tight place and everything goes against you, till it seems as though you could not hold on a minute longer, never give up then, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn." -Harriet Beecher Stowe

I have recently lost a lot of weight and running is very new to me (I started running about 2 years ago).  I have 6 fantastic kids, 3 girls and 3 boys and a wonderful husband.

My new weight goal is to have lost 100 pounds.  I am quite sure I can get to about 93, but I am not sure about the 100.  The weight tracker is tracking my total weight loss.

Weight 77 lbs?

Do you want me to come out and help you through speed tomorrow or Friday?

From The Howling Commando on Nov 12, 2008 at 11:11:20

YAY! What a great run :) You have the NEGATIVE SPLIT BUG! Muahaha

From marion on Nov 12, 2008 at 11:16:38

Yes- I cut out my middle and am just arms and legs :) I am posting my total lost. I am going for 100#'s

Friday would be great! What time? David will be home if you want to come later and the boys can play ;)

From marion on Nov 12, 2008 at 11:30:27

Heck Michelle- my boys are up at 5:30, you can come whenever and they'll have a friend to play with ;)

From leslie on Nov 12, 2008 at 11:41:13

I am with you, a run is a run! Way to get out there, you need a slow day if you are going to run with that Speedy Michelle! I like your idea on the weight thing. It is such a huge accomplishment! It will be fun to watch your progress and cheer you on to VICTORY!!!! Have a great relaxing day!

From MichelleL on Nov 12, 2008 at 12:39:57

I can't come later though that sounds like heaven. I have a Dr appt (Brady) at 9:45 and have to get the kids off to school from 7:20-8:20 so that kills a later morning. I can meet at 6am. Hows that for a compromise? (that's a joke, Marion and I always meet at 6am).

From Snoqualmie on Nov 12, 2008 at 12:57:33

Some running is better than no running, and slow running is better than no running. Therefore, a successful run!

From marion on Nov 12, 2008 at 13:02:35

Michelle- I LOVE 6am! It is my DREAM running time :)

Sno- you are right- a run is a run :D

From marion on Nov 12, 2008 at 13:03:47

hey Benn- i have always wondered how to spell "muahaha"!!! ;D

From Metcalf Running on Nov 12, 2008 at 13:21:35

Way to get the miles in... I think today will be a slow day for me also.

From The Howling Commando on Nov 12, 2008 at 14:17:31

Yeah I've done some scholarly research to determine that "muahaha" is the correct spelling :-P

We're going to have to get you a shirt that says "negative split queen" soon!

From marion on Nov 12, 2008 at 14:24:29

Not to diminish your kind compliment, but when you start out as slow as I do, negatives are not hard to achieve! ;)

From montelepsy on Nov 12, 2008 at 14:58:01

Those slow miles build you up on the cellular level. You're a mitochondria producing machine!

From marion on Nov 12, 2008 at 15:03:10

Thanks Mike- I was not taking the time to remember those sweet Mitochondria. I remember having to draw them in college. I had fogotten about those little arobic brothers of mine! Hail to the Mitochondria!!!
