1 mile warm up. 2+ mile run with Michelle & Will (in tow). walked home.  Got bike and rode while Michelle ran.  Stopped into the quilting store and Willow Creek.

The knee/itb was flaring up, pretty good, the last bit of the run.  Well, actually in the + part.  It was fine for the bike ride and then a while after it flared on my way down the stairs. :\  ARGH!!!

I have not been consistent with all my my preventative stuff.  I need a better schedule and then FOLLOW it :(

PS- Michelle is the BEST friend ever :)

5:30am yoga, 6:45 1 mile run, stretching, foam rolling.

No new pain, so I thought that a one mile test would be ok.  The pain was not there at all, just a very mild dull ache.  No weakness or irritation. I did major scraping last night.  I even have a few bruises ;D

I argued with myself from about 5:30 am until I finally got on the treadmill just before 9.  What a bum!  I watched the thermometer go from 0.0 to 0.4 to -0.6 to where it stands now a 6.4.  It's a warming trend!

I have started taking vitamin D.  I think it is helping :)

So here is what I did today :)  Stretch, 1/4 mile walk, 1 ,mile run, stretch, 1 mile run, 1/4 mile walk, stretch, roll.

I stretched mid run because I was getting bored.  I really hate running on the treadmill.

I am trying not to get excited, but my lower extremities are really behaving.  My left ham is a very tiny bit whiny, so I am increasing the inline on the treadmill a bit and doing a few extra stretches.  FYI- Dr Brady said that increasing the treadmill incline puts my stride a bit more on my toes and relieves some tension on the hams.

-10 degrees at 6am on my way to Michelle's for a basement work out.  It is always so FUN to see Michelle, even if we couldn't talk :(  You say, IMPOSSIBLE!  But no, we were really good and did not wake her sleeping men :)  Fluffy the kitty was a great yoga partner :)

Elliptical, 20 minutes, yoga ~20 minutes, 3/4 mile 12mm, 1 mile 11:32mm, 1/4 mile 11:02mm.  Stretch.  Cut DH hair, shower, DD dr appt, work, laundry, read These Is My Words.

Self imposed day of rest.  Next week I get to run everyday :)  Just two miles, but EVERY day :)

I ate too much pizza at the kindergarten luau today :(  but, I did finish These Is My Words today.  It is by Nancy Turner and I really liked it.  It ended a bit abruptly and sadly, but the book was good and I recommend it.

Woke up at 5am.  It took until about 8:30 for me to be brave enough to get out of my WARM bed :)  I am such a time waster!  I wanted to get up and do yoga this morning, but I was having such a nice quite time alone in my warm bed, that I just stayed there FOREVER!

1/2 mile walk warm-up. Stretch.  2 mile run (12 mm). 1/4 mile cool down. Stretch. Roll. Freeze while I blog. Shower.

I scraped last night.  I have to do that every night.

Good Morning!!

1/2 mile warm-up.  2 mile run 12mm. 1/4 mile cool-down.  Stretch roll, shower, blog :)

Finally the Chex mix is out of my system.  I was a TOTAL pig this weekend and it has been all over the scale :p  I sure love Chex Mix ;D

Laundry day today ;\ ... and work tonight.  good times!  I need to think of dinner really quick like.  hmmmm... I wonder what I should make.  Any thoughts?

PS- the hips/knees/legs are doing well.  The were a little tight Monday & Tuesday.  I am thinking that I need to stretch & scrape Sunday, for sure.  The monday "pain" was really mild, not even pain, just slightly tender achyness.  I scraped really good monday and last night and it is totally gone this morning.

Can I just say how grateful I am for this blog?   What a blessing to have met y'all to help me with all of my ailments/encouragement!  Josse and the scraping is a blessing from heaven, aside from the added perk of being her friend.  Not to mention all y'all who visit my blog and encourage me daily!  I know I have not been on the blog much these days :(  We've been having some family issues that have required me to change some things.  I have needed to spend more time with other things and my blog checking/commenting has had to be cut dramatically.  Please know that I do read your blogs, but don't have much time to comment.  You guys are all AMAZING!!  These past few months have been really hard and having you all out there has made such a HUGE difference for me!  Thanks again for all of the cheer leading :)

All my LOVE and big ol' XOXOXOXoxoxoxoxOXOXOXOXOXxoxoxo

1/2 mile walk. stretch. 2 mile run ~11:45 pace. 1/4 mile walk. Stretch, roll. blog.

I skipped yesterday for a myriad of shady reasons.  #1 my knee has been tender.  I was not sure if it was from a major scraping session or for more sinister reasons.  #2 I was already to dresses to run and then we decided to go shopping once and for all, never to go again this year.  My poor kids are going to starve to DEATH!

There was no knee pain today at all and I suspect that there would not have been any yesterday too.  My judgment was clouded and confused.  I should have just tried running and called it off if any pain has surfaced.  I will never know.  I suppose that it is not a bad idea to repeat the same mileage as last week for two weeks.  Slow and steady wins the race :)

CONGRATULATIONS, Michelle, on your AWESOME time trial today !!!!  Rock Star!

1/2 mile warm up. 1.5 mile run.  Still sick to my stomach.  I am guessing that I have been eating too much crap...well not guessing, I HAVE been eating too much crap, and it is making me sick!

Merry Christmas to you all!  I am looking forward to a very pleasant and relaxing few days :)

1/2 mile warmup on the treadmill. stretch.  2 mile run outside, 10:57, 11:04. Stretch, roll, ab workout.  I did a mini version of Michelle's killer ab workout! 4 sets of 60 second forearm planks. 3 sets of 25 crunches.  3 sets of 30 second side planks, each side.

AS we are watching Anne of Green Gables, I fear my description of my run is far too dross and bland to be adequate. I love running outside. It replenishes my soul like nothing else. My chin nearly turned to solid ice and fell to the earth in a thousand shards. I wish all of my bosom friends a very glorious and fruitful Saturday! ;D

Due to many uncontrollable factors, my beautiful WARM mid-day run was RUINED and I had to run on the TM during the encore showing of Julie & Julia tonight.  I stretched, rolled and did Michelle's ab's, showered and am now going to bed.

I don't think there is enough lotion in the world to help my poor dry skin :(:::::::::

I was going to run outside but as I waited for the temperatures to rise into the balmy mid 20's, the snow came and covered the roads :(  I did the treadmill while we watched the Village.  It's a little scary to run in the dark during a thriller :D
