Two cute really slow miles.  There was a twinge at .76m and then again just before home.  I slowed the pace down at .76 just to be sure.  The camber of the road when I run with the traffic seems to be a problem for my ITB.  (ITB leg lower than other well behaved leg).  I will go to the track tomorrow.  That should be fun being the first day of SCHOOL!  I HATE school!  I love the summer and I am going to be thrown into a funk of sadness until March.  Woe is me.... on a strange, but related note, I will be all alone two mornings a week as little Will is starting preschool in a few weeks and Mac is starting Kindergarten.  I have not been alone since 1992 ;)  Anna is taking the ACT next week and starting to apply to colleges.  I am having a really hard time NOT pushing BYU.  We were there last week and had such a GREAT time.  I know she'll have fun no matter where she goes, but I'd love to have here there.... anyway....

My friend called me at 9 pm last night and a bunch of us went to see The Time Traveler's Wife.  It was a bit strange, but I liked it.  Hey- any movie where Eric Bana time travels NAKED can't be all bad ;)

I never thought of miles as cute. Leave it up to you.

I'm afraid my oldest won't go anywhere near BYU. He took the ACT last year. Is it time to start applying to colleges now? I thought we could wait a couple of months.

Anna is actually thinking SUU, but who knows :) And, yes, there is time for the applications :) We are just getting mail boxes full of applications :)

Oh yes, Carolyn, two little miles are VERY cute, compared to 18 ;)

I think I'm having simpathic ITB issues, because I hear of everyones ITB issues here LOL! I hate my kids being back in school too... but I do like the cooler mornings.

I read that book a few years ago and really enjoyed it. I wonder if I will like the movie.

Good job getting in some cute miles.

ITB issues can be seriously impacted by both hilly mileage and the camber of the road. I have to make a concerted effort to switch sides of the road when I run - even though I am paranoid about being run over when I have traffic coming at my back (long story).

Lori- Sorry about the sympathy pains ;) We should commiserate together soon about the ITB and school :) The movie was pretty good- I BAWLED at the end and I really did like it :)

Maurine- you have every right to be majorly paranoid about running with traffic!

Road camber is very bad for me too--I run the exact reverse of everything on all my runs to keep it even on both legs. It is super scary running with the traffic to your back but I can't always run on the left side or I will get injured. Glad your ITB is doing better! We start school tomorrow too, only Vanessa will be home.

I like calling the miles cute, maybe I can like them a little more if I start to think of them as cute :)Glad you're back to running, I missed your entries! And ITB issues need to get a life.

From RAD on Tue, Aug 18, 2009 at 14:45:47 from 76.27.12.70

Sorry that silly ITB is still bugging!! Here's to hoping it goes away soon!!! I only have issues with running on the left side of the road when there is no shoulder and it has a bad slant. Sometimes if its early and few cars on the road, I'll jump up on the white line where it's flat.
