Fri, 14 Nov 2008 05:00:00 +0100 Thu, Nov 13, 2008 http://marion.fastrunningblog.com/blog-11-13-2008.html <p>Crazy weird run today :0 Kim and I ran up Payson Canyon to the 2.5 mile mark, then ran down until David and my brother, Dan, and kids, picked me up and we went up to the Gratto.&nbsp; We hiked up there, it's a very pretty and EASY hike for kids.&nbsp; Then we hiked down.&nbsp; I ran up the canyon a bit more and then back to the car and then we drove back down.&nbsp; They dumped me off about a mile and a half from home and I ran it in.&nbsp; Like I said, crazy weird ;)</p><p>I do have a head cold at the moment.&nbsp; It hit all of a sudden at 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon. I couldn't get much water down yesterday :( &nbsp; I was planning on 10 and then just hoping for 5 and ended up being grateful for 3. :D&nbsp; I should be GREAT by Monday. &nbsp;</p> <p>I am going to go can apple sauce and some salsa today.&nbsp; My neighbor dropped of 6 boxes of apples and I am really excited!&nbsp; My boys LOVE apple sauce and I LOVE free!&nbsp; My friend taught me a super fast and easy way to make it.&nbsp; You only have to wash and quarter the apples, no peeling or coreing.&nbsp; Then you cook them, steam them really in a big pot (about 20 minuites).&nbsp; Then you run them through a Victoria Strainer and VOILA- the waste comes out one side and the apple sauce comes out the other!&nbsp; No sugar and just a 20 minuite water bath and done!!!</p> <p>FUN FUN FUN!!!!!&nbsp; Have a great weekend!<br /></p>I think that I am going to do the CIM Folsom to Sacramento next December.&nbsp; Anyone up for it?&nbsp; It starts at 365 ft above sea ... Fri, 24 Oct 2008 04:00:00 +0100 Thu, Oct 23, 2008 http://marion.fastrunningblog.com/blog-10-23-2008.html <p>1:02:36, ave 12:14, best 7:53, laps-12:57, 12:54, 11:43, 11:32, 11:34</p> <p>I went and bought a reflective vest and a gaiter.&nbsp; Of course I did not get out until 9:30 this morning.&nbsp; Too warm in bed, too relaxing with David home, TOO cold outside (32 degrees).&nbsp; I asked David if we could move ;)&nbsp; Once&nbsp;I got myself out there, man it was georgous!&nbsp; The colors up the canyon and all over the mountains are UNREAL!&nbsp;&nbsp; The run felt just fine.&nbsp; I was a bit pooped for the last mile, but the split did not show it too much.&nbsp; Tomorrow is an 8 miler with Kim.&nbsp; I needed less miles Saturday, so we tacked them on to the Friday run.</p> <p>The weight is still dropping ;)&nbsp; I am trying not to be too excited.&nbsp; BUT I AM!!!&nbsp;&nbsp; hahahahahahahahahahhahah (evil laugh)</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> Thu, 23 Oct 2008 04:00:00 +0100 Wed, Oct 22, 2008 http://marion.fastrunningblog.com/blog-10-22-2008.html <p>1:02:00, ave 12:23, best 10:03, Laps-&nbsp; 11:47, 12:35, 12:12, 12:48, 12:05</p> <p>I had a smoothie before work for dinner and that just isn't enough fuel for the morning run.&nbsp; The last half mile felt like I had just run a race.&nbsp; I will remember to eat a bowl of cereal before bed if I have a pansy dinner.</p> <p>On the more exciting note- the weight is moving down.&nbsp; I am 1 pound away from 12#'s lost (since I joined the blog) so it is getting time for another 5 K.&nbsp; 5 miles a day seems to be a good amount of miles for weight loss.&nbsp; Still, a long way to go.&nbsp; But, see below my before pics. They help me to see how far I have come and not get too hard on myself.&nbsp; That picture is about 82 lbs heavier than I am now.&nbsp; The other one is my current &quot;after&quot; photo.&nbsp; They used to be on my work blog until I blew it up.</p> <p>It was 34 degrees this morning.&nbsp; I really need a gator.</p> <p>This link is to an Ab workout that KungFuBlonde sent ...
