Slushy and icy.  LOTS OF FUN! My new shoes are DRENCHED!!!  I called three drivers very terrible names.  Let's just say that they were BUTT HEADS and  I nearly punched one of their cars.  Yes, the HORRID cell phone driver was close enough for me to have punched her rear fender.  I should have done it.  I could have taken her with her rediculous poofy bleached blond hair!  yeah- I guess I am a bit feisty today ;D

Anyhoo- David is off today and I would love to laze about, but that probably will not happen.   It will be fun no matter what we do :)

Baptism by fire (or slush) for your shoes. Next time - punch away.

Those dang Utah drivers!!!!! Way to go Marion!!! Have you seen any pink sexy leg warmers anywhere???? I have some red sweat pants, I wonder if I run in them if they would give me a wedgie too?

How many miles are you doing tomorrow? I think I am going to do 8 with Maurine, we are trying to get something going. You should come join us!

From Marion on Fri, Jan 09, 2009 at 13:28:35

I am going for 8 too :) I am off to Target right now to see what else I can find. I think we are going to have to go red an pink for the whole year. We'll be buying so much stuff to cover all the weather bases that we might be all stocked up for the year. We can be known as the Red Hot Pink Chicks!

From leslie on Fri, Jan 09, 2009 at 13:31:58

I love it!!!! The Red Hot Pink Chicks is perfect!!!! Let me know what you find!

From Marion on Fri, Jan 09, 2009 at 13:36:03

We need shirts!

From Metcalf Running on Fri, Jan 09, 2009 at 15:20:56

Marion, you should have punch!! I have done it before... I have also got hit in the sholder with the rear view mirror from a truck... some people are so blind!

I went shopping at Target and wanted to tell you I found Talls in the exercise pants :) not more floods for us amazon women :)

From Kelli on Fri, Jan 09, 2009 at 17:54:20

Great run, sorry about the scary drivers!

I lazed about...a lot!

From Smooth on Fri, Jan 09, 2009 at 18:21:19

You DRENCHED your NEW shoes??? OK, I still have a hard time doing that. I'm gonna wear my new shoes at Painter's but I refused to break them out in these icky messy roads. I need to find a nice route tomorrow.

1,000 lashes to the bad bad bad drivers!

Red Hot Pink Chicks are permitted to laze about anytime!

From Marion on Fri, Jan 09, 2009 at 23:12:29

Lori- I didn't see any talls :( I am going to have to look harder. I have been wearing guy pants cause they are longer. OK the hot pink ones were NOT guys :D

Kelli- good for you!

Smooth- Yes- I drenched them. I thought of you, and how you wear your old ones in the snow. I was a bit out of it. They are so sad now :(

From Becca on Fri, Jan 09, 2009 at 23:23:00

You girls that need "tall" pants...how about if I give you the 4-6 inches I'd need to hem off of my pants and you can attach them to yours?

I don't know what I'm more guilty of...road rage or running-on-the-road rage! Some drivers are just terrible! Especially in winter conditions, they should be way more careful. When there's a nice driver who moves over a lane or lets me cross the street even though they have a green light, I always think "That must be a runner!"

From Marion on Fri, Jan 09, 2009 at 23:30:47

BEcca- My favorite are the little old ladies who give me a big smile and a thumbs up as they pass me by. Most drivers are really great- but some are just jerks!

From Marion on Fri, Jan 09, 2009 at 23:39:34

Hey Becca- My mom is 6" shorter than I am. I am a tall freak of nature ;)

From artichoke on Sat, Jan 10, 2009 at 10:16:28

You've got some great goals going. Keep us the good work! Good Luck at Painter's next week.
