Leslie and I had the most perfect run this morning.  She came down at 7 and we ran the Payson 10k route and then down the canyon to top it off.  Oh wait- we actually topped it off at One Man Band for a greasy breakfast.  Man that had a bit more grease than I remember.  It was SO great to spend the morning with Leslie :)  Running is the best.  We had a couple stops for foot fixes and a bit of stretching.  It was darn cold!  Leslie's water bottles froze :D

I hope y'all are having a great weekend!  I am off to do some laundry :p  and hopefully a hot date tonight :)

Alright, I just noticed that I am .5 miles away from 40.  I have to go run some more! :)  I will return and report.

*** .8 M with Will.  He's 3.  He needed some Skittles and I needed a bit more to break 40 miles.  This is a PR for me :)  I am probably the coolest person in Payson today :)

Great run! Greasy breakfast sounds kinda' good--you could just jog half a mile on the treadmill and call it 40! :)

From Marion on Sat, Feb 28, 2009 at 14:16:10 from 71.213.107.31

Thanks Ladies :) The breakfast was hash browns covered with bacon and cheese with a side of 2 over easy eggs and biscuits and gravy. I may DIE!!! I did have water with that all. I think I will have a green smoothie for dinner ;)

Thanks my dear!!!! You made that 12 miles feel like a piece of cake, with all the converation I hardly noticed the miles, and I have been so sore all week! I am looking forward to doing a long run with you up our way soon!!!! Did you guys know that Payson is WAY colder than SLC?? I have never seen ice on my water bottle before! I do think the cold numbed my poor tired muscles!!! Thanks again Marion!

I ran the same run we did last weekend, but the whole time was thinking about where you guys were running. I can't wait to go on a nice long one with you guys sometime. P.S. Breakfast is my favorite, I make some really excellent apple cinnamon pecan pancakes with orange butter. Looking forward sharing (post some Saturday 20 miler!) Have a great weekend!

Ok Luz- you are in charge of breakfast. Darn that sounds SO good!!! You needed a speedier run today and you got it baby. We are going to run Memory Grove in Salt Lake like around the 2nd saturday in april. And there is another trail Leslie was telling me about up Big Cottonwood Canyon that sounds amazing. Too many trails, too many good breakfasts... TOO LITTLE TIME!!! :)

Great running you're doing! I'm really not copying you, but we do seem to be hitting that 40 mile week together. You are going to be doing great by the time you do SGM in October. Good luck at Ogden and at Hobble Creek in August.

From Maurine/Tarzan on Sat, Feb 28, 2009 at 17:13:54 from 97.117.61.26

Yep - there is a big sign announcing Melting Marion is the coolest person in Payson. Congrats!

From Carolyn in Colorado on Sat, Feb 28, 2009 at 17:26:35 from 71.229.164.25

Congratulations on a 40-mile week! Woohoo!

From Marion on Sat, Feb 28, 2009 at 17:31:11 from 71.213.107.31

Hey Arti- I know you aren't copying me, it just cracked me up when I saw your 14 for today. We pooped out for the full 14, but hey, that is the fun of being the master of our universe ;)

THanks Carolyn :) It was fun :D

Maurine- Thanks...I had no idea I was the coolest person in Payson. Can I quote you?

From Marion on Sat, Feb 28, 2009 at 17:32:55 from 71.213.107.31

Ok- I did allude to the possibility of being the coolest person in Payson above, but now that you said so Maurine, it must be true ;)

From Maurine/Tarzan on Sat, Feb 28, 2009 at 17:45:19 from 97.117.61.26

Yep - I saw a plane towing a banner saying that - so it is true.

From Marion on Sat, Feb 28, 2009 at 17:47:25 from 71.213.107.31

Yipee! Everything in print is true :)

From Smooth on Sat, Feb 28, 2009 at 17:51:08 from 71.36.68.40

Marion,

WooHoo!!! You're the coolest red hot pink chick EVER to grace the face of Payson! What an awesome run with Leslie. FUN, FOOD and FRIEND! Can't top that!!! Hope you have a GREAT hot date tonight.

From Metcalf Running on Sat, Feb 28, 2009 at 18:59:24 from 71.219.123.68

You are a true runner... only crazy runners like us would slogg out .8 just so you can get a 40 mile week... But a big Congratulations!!

From Marion on Sat, Feb 28, 2009 at 21:42:53 from 71.213.107.31

Yeah- I am an official true runner :)

Our "hot" date included our children at a local Mexican restaurant and a trip to Macey's for an ice cream cone. The boys are in the tub and we are all going to bed! I am POOPED out!!! I am wondering if all of this exhaustion is due to the lack of diet Pepsi. I didn't think I drank that much, but maybe I did.

From Teena on Sat, Feb 28, 2009 at 23:56:01 from 67.177.20.13

Oh Marion ... you make me laugh. What an incredible week for you!! Hope you are on cloud nine and enjoyed your evening on your hot date!!

A HUGE CONGRATULATIONS!!!
