I started running in May of 2006 while losing 85 lbs after my youngest was born.  I have 6 fantastic kids, 3 girls and 3 boys and a wonderful husband.  My oldest is in college and my baby is in pre-school. (Six kids in 5 schools ;)

20 minutes swimming, 1000 meters.  5 mile run, 1:05/13:00.

The swim felt great today and so did the run :)  My arms and abs are sore from all of the sit ups and push ups.

I am off to the showers and then to make burp cloths for my sisters new little baby.  She is only 6 pounds.  It's like holding a little bean.

Oh, as I type I am drinking a protein shake with watermelon, celery, flax seed and lime.  It's pretty tasty :)

Maybe this will keep Will safer ;)

You sure make some interesting shakes. Oh how sweet! A little 6 pound newborn! I love sweet little newborns!

Have you tried Chia seeds? Yes, just like the kind with which we used to make "chia pets." lol Turns out they have lots of the same benefits as flax but easier to digest - no need to grind. If you put them in water they swell up and make gel and you can keep it in the frig for up to 2 weeks. I just had some in yogurt. They're amazing - google it!

Have a great day! Hope your little one is recovering well.

Sno- I'll have to try those :)

April- you've gotta try a weird smoothie. They are GREAT!

Hey- go back- I just posted a new pic of Will the GREAT! He should be safe now ;D

Now THAT'S a helmet!

From LuzyLew on Tue, Jul 14, 2009 at 13:58:59 from 208.187.197.42

Cute helment, it may work. Poor little thing. I hope he's ok. My son has at least 3 sets of stiches on his scalp and forehead before the age of 5. Then he got a really incredibly deep scrape down his shin--so deep they had to scan the bone for hairline fracture. It kills me every time. I wish I could have had more kids, I do, but trying to keep even just 2 alive makes me crazy.

That Knight Armor is the only thing our 5 year old wanted for Christmas last year! SCORE!! It was $10 at Target ;D

This is Will's 3rd stitch up on his face. Maybe 3 is the magic STOP GETTING HURT number ;)

You are right Luz- raising kids is rough stuff! I have such a horrid memory, that I just kept having them ;)

From Smooth on Tue, Jul 14, 2009 at 18:55:51 from 71.36.67.77

Aww, that helmet ought to save little Will's head, Way to go, brave dragon slayer! Boys are funny! They love battle wounds. Men lov'em too. That's why they invented football. My boy comes home everyday with different battle wounds and lumbers around like a frankenstein.

AWESOME swim and run today, Ms. Amazon Goddess! What happens to your title? Why'd you ruin it by sticking Smooth in it? silly! You're the Amazon-TRI-Queen-Goddess.

Oh, I love new babies, six pounders are the best, sweet little bean! Congrats to your sister!

Love the outfit~!! Can I get one in a size 8, 5, and 2T?? Honestly I need a full body armor for all of my boys, they are non stop running, wrestling, ROWDY!! But they are fun! VERY NICE job on the work out this morning!! You continue to amaze me!!

From auntieem on Wed, Jul 15, 2009 at 12:07:18 from 67.182.145.8

He looks well protected!

Here's how I take my Chia seed: Scoop a spoonful out of the bag, put it in my mouth, and drink a glass of water. I don't like to ingest it in gooey form, even though I know that happens in my stomach anyway! I just take 'em first thing in the am. Sounds like you are way more creative with the shakes and stuff, though, so you'll probably do it fancier. I'm all about shoving fuel in efficiently, with few dirty dishes- LOL!

From marion on Wed, Jul 15, 2009 at 12:21:09 from 71.213.106.139

Ok- the gooey way sounds horrid, unless it's in a smoothie :) The "whole" way would make me gag too. I put everything into a smoothie because I am a WIMP!!! ;) I am going to have to get some at the health food store on friday :) THANK YOU LADIES!!! :D

From kellies on Wed, Jul 15, 2009 at 12:26:12 from 160.7.238.59

So tell me Ladies, does this magical Chia Seed make you feel full?? And, does it last for a bit or just burn right through?? I need more details!

From Kelsey on Wed, Jul 15, 2009 at 14:16:26 from 128.186.154.139

That's amazing!

From Snoqualmie on Wed, Jul 15, 2009 at 14:51:14 from 67.171.56.164

I am putting the seeds into yogurt. I think they taste wonderful, sort of a nutlike flavor. The one time I tried to just eat them, however, a couple of seeds naturally remained in spots around my teeth (they are tiny when dry), and then did their swelling thing. Once they swelled it was uncomfortable so I had to get a toothpick.

From marion on Wed, Jul 15, 2009 at 14:54:05 from 71.213.106.139

Yogurt is a GREAT idea :) How are they baked into bread??? Quinoa is GREAT in bread but HORRID in yogurt and a few other things ;D

From Teena on Wed, Jul 15, 2009 at 18:22:09 from 67.177.20.13
