I started running in May of 2006 while losing 85 lbs after my youngest was born.  I have 6 fantastic kids, 3 girls and 3 boys and a wonderful husband.  My oldest is in college and my baby is in pre-school. (Six kids in 5 schools ;)

55 minutes of swimming with Double D, 10 of those were pool running.  The pool running was DORKY!!!  It was like one of those dreams when you are running and can't get anywhere.  I must be doing it wrong :p  Any hoots, I did a 50 in 40 seconds at the end of our work out, which is not great, but not too shabby either.  David's high school record was 22.9 ;)  Next week I will do it at the beginning and see what the difference is.  It was hard today after yesterdays workout.  I can't wait to run next week.  My upper body is TIRED!!

I can kneel with some discomfort, which is BIG ;)  It is only slightly tender to the touch, but hardly at all.

Last night- 80 crunches, 25 push ups.  Questions about the crunches.  For the criss crosses and the side ones, do you count one for each side or one for both sides???  The count is 80 if it is one for both sides and 120 if it is one for each sides ;)

Pool running always feels like slow motion running - and you get nowhere very quickly.

For crunches - the count is usually one for both sides.

Nice swimming, you're doing GREAT keeping things up with your quad off the table for a while! SO glad its starting to feel better. I'm with Maurine, one for both sides on side crunches; however, I usually loose count! My attention span isn't that long :)

Good job swimming! WOW 80 crunches? I count one for both sides too. If I were to do more than 50 which rarely happens for crunches, just on push-ups, I will count in sets of 15. Oh, and I count in Chinese! I know I'm a dork.

Thanks ladies :) the 120 just sounded SO much more impressive :) I can't wait to run on Monday :) Has anyone thought of a "newbie" prize for the first time halfers on the 11th???

Smooth - how do you say dork in Chinese?
