I was out late this morning so I couldn't get my full five in.  Bummer :(  Anyway- regular run, no pains or aches.  I am fully participating in Redemption Monday, as I have been on a dessert BINGE since last Wednesday night.  I have some serious damage to fix.  It was somewhat of a surprise that I behaved so badly over the past few days, but it was a really busy time and I don't do well with busy or an abundant supply of CRAP!!  I will spare you the list of indiscretions as to not make you hungry.  It is going to take at least a week to fix this food disaster, but oh well.  Hopefully I have learned from it and won't make the same mistake again, or at least as BAD! ;)

Took the boys on a walk to Crest.  It was a brisk walk as the boys were running ;)

***Week one day 3 of the push up challenge.  I AM A WIMP!!  booo hooo!

Way to get out and "fix the indiscretions". Keep working hard Marion!

From rinny on Mon, Feb 16, 2009 at 14:37:48

hey not too bad! I wish I could exercise for an hour, or at least be able to jog for that long, way to go.

From barry on Mon, Feb 16, 2009 at 14:43:00

Sorry to hear about the food problems. But you still have plenty of time before Ogden 1/2. Just remember to look at the glass half full and not half empty. Just my thought for the day!

From tarzan on Mon, Feb 16, 2009 at 14:47:52

Yeah - well I just finished up all the chocolate covered marshmallows AND all the chocolate covered cinnamon bears - so now I can go back to being good.

You are doing fine - don't beat yourself up over it. (But if you want to beat up DD - you can).

So glad to see that I'm not the only one that makes bad food choices sometimes. The weekends are always a bit harder for me then on top of it being Valentines :( not a good combo. But I guess we are all back on track together. :)

Nice run!

From Marion on Mon, Feb 16, 2009 at 17:35:44

I have been doing pretty good today :)

Barry- You are right, I have got plenty of time so long as I don't go nuts too many more times :)

Lori- I am with you sister- we can be strong, we can conquer!

MAurine- All of the crap around here is gone and now I am re focused. We even went to the movies and I didn't have any popcorn! I am a ROCK!!

Rinny- You'll get there! Slow and steady wins the race. How was your sunday? I missed you yesterday!

Jon- How was Valentines day with lover girl? ;)

From tarzan on Mon, Feb 16, 2009 at 17:38:30

Did you say Rock? Now I want to get some Rocky Road Ice Cream.

From Marion on Mon, Feb 16, 2009 at 17:40:10

focus Maurine! FOCUS!! Look into my eyes OO .... You can stay away from the ice cream... You can stay away from the ice cream! ;)

From tarzan on Mon, Feb 16, 2009 at 17:41:14

Did you say popcorn?

Mmmmm - popcorn sounds good! While watching The Rock!

From Marion on Mon, Feb 16, 2009 at 17:46:26

We're losing Maurine... we're losing Maurine... Everyone, Maurine is going into a food induced spiral of destruction.. we must save her!

HOLD ON MAURINE.. it will be OK!!! Find a diet Pepsi and drink it slowly until help arrives!!!

From tarzan on Mon, Feb 16, 2009 at 18:05:38

OK - phew! I think that snapped me out of it. I have only had one or two sips of a cola in my lifetime and that was more than enough for me.

From seeaprilrun on Mon, Feb 16, 2009 at 18:27:23

Valentines week wreaked havoc on my eating habits as well. Oh well. A week of redemption and you can forget it ever happened!

From Marion on Mon, Feb 16, 2009 at 18:38:06

Maurine- I am SO glad you are OK ;) Now I can sleep tonight ;)

April- Hey you! I am glad to see I was not alone. Val day usually does not get me, but man I got it good! ;)

From leslie on Mon, Feb 16, 2009 at 19:24:22

From Jodi on Mon, Feb 16, 2009 at 21:29:26

Mmmm my favorite is the candy hearts.... fat free but not calorie or carb free. Darn it!!!

I've come down from my sugar rush and ready to behave. (maybe)

From Smooth on Mon, Feb 16, 2009 at 22:06:36

GOOD JOB getting her done. Now be a good girl with good eats the rest of the week.

From Mandy on Tue, Feb 17, 2009 at 00:13:16

You did it! You survived! Way to get the miles in-the first day back to the routine is always the hardest, right? Don't beat yourself up over the food..to quote some animated movie that I'll think of later..."You've got to put the past, behind you." (I'm picturing either a mouse or a cat saying that for some reason)

Keep up the good work!

That's in Lion King. Rafiki hits Simba with his stick. When asked why he did he it says it doesn't matter, it is in the past. When he tries to hit Simba again, Simba ducks. So the lesson is really, that you shouldn't ignore the past and put it behind you, instead you should remember and learn from it.
