I started running in May of 2006 while losing 85 lbs after my youngest was born.  I have 6 fantastic kids, 3 girls and 3 boys and a wonderful husband.  My oldest is in college and my baby is in pre-school. (Six kids in 5 schools ;)

65 minutes of yoga.  Dr appt at noon.  I really feel like I need to start running again, like 1 mile a day.  Brady is going to have to give me a really good reason for me to take another week off.  If I sound like a poop, it's because I have turned into one :p  I am officially rebellious and irritated.  The only thing that can sooth me at this point is Ben & Jerry or a run.  I have lost my logic and reasoning.  I am swirling into a pit of perpetually "pissed off!"

I am not as bad as I sound.  I have been watching the Simpson's Halloween specials with Kang and Kodos and the '96 presidential election.  I am losing my marbles..... ;D

Have a GREAT day!  I am off to shower, do laundry and other wise have a very regular day.

*** Dr report. It was the best of times, it was the not so best of times ;) I got GREAT news and not so great news. The “not so great” was that it will probably be 2 weeks before I can run again :p He said I could run, but if I want to fully recover, I should just wait a bit longer. The good news is that all of the self massage is really helping and making a big difference. He could tell and was pleased that I took on self beatings 3 times a day :D One thing that it did is, that as parts have healed/are healing, other injuries are surfacing. He beat the crud out of my right top quad into my hip flexor. The other hip injuries were masking this one. I can really tell that it was in bad shape as I was almost instantly nauseated after he finished. Deep tissue really makes me sick. Anyway, he gave me some hip strengthening exercises to do and another quad stretch and MORE self massage. I am actually REALLY happy because I am getting better and there is REAL light at the end of my silly little tunnel!

Hmmm. Ben & Jerry or a run. That's quite a decision.

Marion, you are a delightful poop. I hope Brady gives you some good news.

Let her run doc, let her run!!! Does Ben and Jerry's make any kind of low-fat low-sugar options? Like maybe Ben and Jerry's frozen yogurt? Wishful thinking...

Yes, Ben & Jerry have a Chery Garcia Light that is DElightful! I just eat too much of it.

I really may just run one mile a day no matter what he says. It's like having a horrible itch that you cant scratch. You can only hold out so long.

Hang in there sister... I'm sure he will give you good news... step away from the ice cream :)

Hang in there and do what's right for you. Sometimes our mental health needs some attention too! Maybe use that argument to get a 'mile a day' allowance from the doc!

Glass is half full type of news. Glad to hear things are healing up. You upped your mileage a lot this year and that might have had a big impact after years of non-exercising. On the bright side - you can listen to your body more as you heal.

That is the part I am struggling with. I really want to up my mileage already - and am having to force myself to stop at 4. I don't want 2010 to be a repeat of 2009.

You can totally do 2 weeks. Be strong and reap the reward.
