Again, the blessed Michelle has saved the day. She ever so gently reminded me that I had not exercised yesterday, so I did, and this morning, I met her in Salem for a 2 hour bike ride extravaganza extraordinaire ;) It is 7:27 am and I am done with my exercise and all I need is a shower and a stretching session. I’d better head off to the showers while the troops are subdued in the kitchen drinking their Pero. I bought every hot drink I could find at the store yesterday. I am needing to feel the heat. I bought a really cool pink coffee mug at the breast cancer event on Saturday and needed some stuff to go in it!  It was totally awesome to get into the car after a 2 hour ride and have a hot thermos of sugar free apple cider ;)  Life is good!

The Pinky Swear New Year's Challenge:  Now 'till Nov 6th- 4 #'s, Nov 7th  to Thanksgiving 4#'s, AND the kicker, Thanksgivng to New Years 5 #'s.  That will put me at ~159 by New Year's.  Only 12 #'s from my lofty goal of 147.  Michelle does a great job at getting me to do what I am supposed to do.  I'd better get over and track my food for today.  1 light string cheese, one apple and 16 oz sugar free apple cider.

Michelle- It is VERY tasty! ...and only 15 calories :) (30 for me because my SUPER cool coffee mug holds 16 oz ;]) Come over and get the fudge before work!

Yee Haw Maurine! This is exactly what this world needs...MORE SWEARING ;D I can't wait to hear what you have up your sleeves :)

hmmm...I'm too afraid of failing to make a pinky swear :(

Marion, you are doing AMAZING and I know that goal is totally within your reach! I dropped my last 15 to where I am at now over last years holidays. It is SO good to make a goal now for the holidays!! Not that YOU need to hear that from ME :)

Awesome morning! And awesome goal, you are so close, I bet you can just taste it, and feel it! You are so sassy and cute right now, you will be over the top at goal!!!!

I need to bring a healthy (somewhat healthy) snack to my daughter's house. Any easy ideas? I was thinking of the black bean brownies. Do you have it off the top of your head?

Marion--I kept the Cancer walk on my calendar, but I forgot to tell you I held the Kidney Walk at Thanksgiving Point that same day. I kept forgetting to tell you how much I wanted to come, but that I was booked for that day. It was our first ever walk, and we had some great kidney stories and about 250 people (a small but satisfying group). Had it not been my job to run the thing, I would have been to the 5K with you. I heard an interesting story yesterday on NPR regarding the Pink Ribbon Culture from a Cancer Survivor...it also reminded me of the event and how I'd forgotten to tell you why I couldn't make it. PS--I would like to join in the collective pinky swearing on Thursday. Although, November 6th and November 26th will just require more excersize on my part. I love Thanksgiving and refuse to let anything stop me from gaining 3 pounds on that day!
