My Favorite Quote-   "When you get into a tight place and everything goes against you, till it seems as though you could not hold on a minute longer, never give up then, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn." -Harriet Beecher Stowe

I started running in May of 2006 while losing 85 lbs after my youngest was born.  I have 6 fantastic kids, 3 girls and 3 boys and a wonderful husband.  My oldest is in college and my baby is in pre-school. (Six kids in 5 schools ;)

Christmas was nice.  this slow recovery crap is really getting to me.  I'm doing little bits here and there.  A little yoga, a little treadmill walking.  I even biked a little yesterday (I'm not supposed to bike).  I'm in need of a basic steady plan, but I have to tweak it depending on how the back feels :p  I like things to be the same everyday.  I don't do well with all of this "flexibility" ... "listen to your body" CRAP!  I need routine.  I need to be able to vacuum with out ending up flat on the floor for an hour while the spasms subside.  AND to top it all off, is scares the CRAP out of me to even think about running outside.  sorry for the whine.  This is my whine spot.  I have to put on a chipper face everywhere else.  My Polly Anna has been hijacked and it looks like the hijackers are slowly suffocating her.  I suppose the worst part is that I feel like I can't DO anything.  I just have to wait and let my back heal.  AND, without running, how can I know if the knee that was hit by the cars bumper is injured?

Things I can control.......

what I eat.  No more eating like a lumber jack.  I may not be as active as I'd like, but I can STOP eating enough to support a small nation.

I can do yoga everyday.  It may be VERY modified, but I can do some.

18 min stationary bike, 18 min treadmill walk, 45 min yoga
