oohhh, I actually want to do the 1/2, but the full...if you're there it might just be worth it! :)

From marion on Mon, May 10, 2010 at 16:13:50 from 71.213.114.98

You know you want too...IF you are all healed and ready for one :) The 1/2 is probably a smart idea so close to having an baby :) when are you due again? :)

From RAD on Mon, May 10, 2010 at 16:16:32 from 67.172.229.125

I'm due in little less than 7 weeks - end of June. I'm hoping to get an induction date about a week early though. I've never labored myself, so I don't think the doc would be against it. I did get into SGM, so TOU nice and easy would be a good final long run for training. Tempting I tell you...simply tempting...

From marion on Mon, May 10, 2010 at 16:36:07 from 71.213.114.98

ah ha! You got into St George? LUCKY ;) What a great postpartum present :) It would be nice and slow with me :) You take care of you! ...and that sweet baby!

I've been thinking about it, but last year after Ogden I was so burned out of doing long runs that I gave up my plans for a fall marathon. I'm feeling a little burned out already this year and I haven't even run my spring marathon yet, so I don't dare commit to a fall marathon.

From marion on Mon, May 10, 2010 at 16:50:56 from 71.213.114.98

Smart girl, Carolyn! Are you doing Ogden? I just don't remember :(

From Smooth on Mon, May 10, 2010 at 17:19:24 from 174.23.172.155

Marion ~ So glad you pick TOU. You'll enjoy it. I ran it in 2008, 2 weeks before SGM. In 2009 I ran the last half with a friend who was running her very first marathon at TOU.

This year, I'm not shooting for any PR, so may be (emphasis the MAY BE) I'll do PCM, Pocatello, TOU and SGM, all 2 weeks apart of each other. CRAZY NUTTY idea!!!

From marion on Mon, May 10, 2010 at 18:06:39 from 71.213.114.98

SMooth- you are INSANE ;) If anyone can do it, you can :) Thanks for the encouragement :) I really want to do a marathon every year, or at least one more for sure to prove that I can :D

From Smooth on Mon, May 10, 2010 at 18:20:47 from 174.23.172.155

Marion ~ YOU CAN DO IT! You ran UVM in the dead of summer heat last year. TOU is an excellent course, IMO much less pounding on the quads than SGM for a Fall marathon and hopefully cooler weather. Keep up the good work and enjoy your training!!!

From marion on Mon, May 10, 2010 at 18:55:49 from 71.213.114.98

Oh good :) My right quad was a bit unhappy after UVM :) I am really excited :)

From allie on Mon, May 10, 2010 at 18:56:19 from 67.177.0.102

i love TOU and everything about it. it's a great marathon. i MIGHT be there this year if i can get my hip replaced in time. :)

From Carolyn in Colorado on Tue, May 11, 2010 at 14:35:58 from 198.241.174.15

No, Marion, I'm doing the Newport Oregon marathon next month.

From Maurine/Miles on Tue, May 11, 2010 at 20:24:05 from 97.117.66.119

Gee - last time I ran St. George I thought it was plenty cold. :-(

I'll take a pass, Marion. I'm bouncing the idea of Park City as a long run, but need to save my legs for St. George and Pony Express 50.

From LuzyLew on Wed, May 12, 2010 at 18:35:03 from 208.187.197.42

TOU!!! I have to figure out what I want to do now I didn't get into St. George. I wanted to get out of town, but Michelle says my two top picks (NYC and Marine Corps) are full. TOU sounds like a good one to shoot for. Screw St. GEorge for their stupid lottery. I think I'd like to try it too. I'm tossing around the idea of Hartford w/ Michelle too, but I don't know anyone to visit out there...(i.e. stay with for free).

From marion on Wed, May 12, 2010 at 19:48:04 from 71.213.114.98

Luz- you know you want to :) Smooth says it's "Smooth-a-licious!" I'll have to admit that it is not far away and fun, BUT it's close and supposed to be one of the most beautiful marathons around :)

From Kelli on Wed, May 12, 2010 at 22:44:31 from 71.219.75.178

You guys crack me up. but, I vote you all go and run this one together. It would be great fun!!!!

From LuzyLew on Thu, May 13, 2010 at 16:22:32 from 208.187.197.42

I do want to. I'm still exploring getting into Marine Corp in DC Oct 31st and trying to raise $2,900 for Leukemia/Cancer. I have a good friend who died of it a few years back and would love to do it for his family. We'll see though. Maybe I could do both...I've never done TOU, and it's definitly good to try new things (since ST. George doesn't want me ....) I'm totally game.
