I have been getting sick since Saturday.  It's not bad yet, and I am hoping all of the EMERGEN-C is helping to avoid full blown illness.  I am only like a 2 on the scale.  Lots of tea and blankies today ;)

I don't know if I have ever shared this before, but I am a paranoid hypochondriac for the first 1-2 miles of every run.  "I'm sick,"  "That pain could be a stress fracture," "There is probably a murderer in the canyon,"  "Maybe it is pneumonia,"  "Am I having a hear attack?"  "Is this what a stroke feels like?"   As you can see, I am totally insane, so it is hard to tell the difference between legitimate illness and  my standard craziness!  I am getting better at it and today I could tell that by mile 4 I would be hitch hiking home so I turned around at the mouth of the canyon.  I am going to lay on the couch with my sick kids and watch movies.  Mac threw up all over the preschool yesterday and Ford was up coughing last night.  Oh the joy!  I just hope that Mac had some food poisoning from school and not the stomach flu!  Isn't that sad when you hope for food poisoning as to avoid an outbreak of the stomach flu in your home?

49:44, ave 14:54, best 11:36, Splits-15:19, 15:23, 14:18  No wind today, just nothing to give.  This was one of those days that I could tell the run would be taking more FROM me than giving back.

Marion, I hope you get feeling better soon, and same with you sweet boys. I think we all have a bit of paranoid hypochondriac in us... I like to think that I'm just intune with the way my body feels LOL.

Take care... drink plenty of fluids... and rest!

From Mandy on Wed, Feb 18, 2009 at 11:31:09

Totally hear you on the crazies! I'm the exact same way. Sorry to hear everyone is getting sick. Hopefully no more stomach issues at least! Have a nice, relaxing day(ok, so that may be far fetched) and get better soon!

I love Emergen-C. I hope it helps you. I'm sorry your son threw up all over the preschool and the other one was up coughing. That is no fun. I've had sick kids the last couple of weeks, too, but nothing that bad.

Take it easy.

From Marion on Wed, Feb 18, 2009 at 11:39:25

We're not too bad ;) Me especially, I just don't want another sinus infection :P

Hey- have any of you tried the Flat Out flat bread? They are a very large wrap and only 1 point in Weight Watchers talk.I am having a hummus wrap for breakfast and the wrap is pretty good. My members use them to make wraps and personal pizzas. Any way, fyi ;)

Great job getting out there despite it all! Motherhood keeps you sane and INSANE 24/7. Enjoy your time home with the kids even though they are sick, its the only time mine will still cuddle with me.

Don't get sick, you are not allowed! Where did you buy the Flat Out bread? I have heard of it and searched, but it is not at my regular stores. TAke it easy girl today. I need to make your hummus, it sounds really good right now.

From Marion on Wed, Feb 18, 2009 at 13:24:27

i don't think I am going to get much worse, unless I get a sinus infection, which I think I know how to avoid now, I think.

I got the flat outs at Walmart. The members who told me about them said that they were with the regular bread. I found them at my WalMart by the bakery breads. They are really quite huge. I am going to fiddle with them for the next week and see how I like them best.

I am off for more tea! YUMMY!

Emergen-C RULES! Cuddlie kids rule!

Sorry to hear you have sickness in your home. Take care of yourself.

I like the Flat Outs. I use them for sandwiches when I have them.

From Smooth on Wed, Feb 18, 2009 at 14:59:50

Sorry your kidlets are sick. I'm sure with your cuddling and nurturing; they will be better in no time. I'll have to look for some Flat Outs.

I also understand the paranoia but after Monday my paranoia only quadruples. Life needs some balance. So I balance it with craziness. I am glad I have company. Hope you feel better soon!!

From Marion on Wed, Feb 18, 2009 at 16:03:34

What happened monday? I am going over to your blog!

From Teena on Wed, Feb 18, 2009 at 18:30:53

You silly girl!!

I hope you start feeling much much much better!! Everytime you have one of those negative thoughts ... have 10 positive ones that explain why the negative one was not realistic at all! What you say when you talk to yourself is SO STINKIN' important!! That's why I'm always telling myself that I am so stinkin' cool!! Just kidding ... or am I??

Lots of Love.

From tarzan on Wed, Feb 18, 2009 at 20:48:11

I have stinkin' thoughts right now. Oh wait - I just finished running and am pretty smelly. Maybe that is it.
