I have to keep reminding myself that February is my rest month for the year.  I am not worried about any particular goals in February, just making it through this STUPID month :D  There was a nice layer of DEATH all over the roads when I got up to run, so I did my Week one Day 2 of the push up challenge.  I am going to run one mile on the treadmill this morning and then 2 this afternoon, one at a time.  I don't want to hurt my ham.  I will set the treadmill to an incline.  I'll also do my core work out as soon as I am done here. :)  "Go with the flow.  Be flexible!  NO STRESS!!!"

*** tried to run on the treadmill...the left ham is MAD!!!... I am going to go try a mile outside and see if I die :)***

Coolest thing ever.  David and & pulled into Bajio last night after the temple and you will never guess who was in line in front of us?  Mary Ann!  We had our Valentine dinner with her and had a GREAT time.  She is such a cutie :)  No, we don't get to go out tonight.  Valentines will be spent with our four youngest, watching Madagascar II :)  We are going to have a blast! ;)  Yes, I am trying to convince myself this is true!  I want to go to a movie with David, but no luck.

Oh and by the way- David wants a nick name.  I am always saying, Kelli "with an I", Scott "who is married to Kelli".  Tyler "Shepherd, married to Kellie with an ie".  Kellie "with an ie married to Tyler." Larry, "Mr. Smooth".  Michelle, "the speedy chick".  Paul, "Michelle's husband".  Kelly "with a Y who is in love with Jon".  Maurine... "Tarzan".  Leslie "my runner friend who's son in law had the stroke and we went to the luau."  He actually he knows who you are a lot better now, but he wants a nickname.  He came up with David "with a U" or David with the double d's.  I assumed he was referring to the two d's in his name, but he was referring to my double d's.  He was cracking me up last night. ;D  OH- and I think I have a commitment to start running from him.  I sure hope he does it!  We spent $105 on running shoes almost a year ago, and it is making me MAD!  He promised me a six month try with running and I only got 2 weeks last year.  He's dead meat if he doesn't get to it!!

Week 1 Day 2, max at 5 girly push-ups :)  Around the World Core workout (12 each).

*** I got 5 miles in outside this afternoon!  Heaven :)  1:05/ave 13:06, best 9:21, Splits- 13:21, 14:01, 12:55, 12:55, 12:18

Oh yeah-

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!!!

Tell David with a double D to start running and we can give him some really earned nicknames

From The Howling Commando on Sat, Feb 14, 2009 at 10:21:55

As Benn with the double N's (yes, N's!) I concur with tarzan. He gets his butt in gear and he can earn a nickname too! :)

Happy Valentine's Day!

From Kelli on Sat, Feb 14, 2009 at 14:41:39

It is not all it cracked up to be to have a husband obsessed with running, really!!! Juts do not let him become obsessed. It would be fun to have him run with us, but then who would take the great pictures??? I love the nickname he has given himself!!

Take care of yourself and have fun tonight with the movie!!

Oh, and Scott and I went to Bajios for dinner last night, too! Funny.

From tarzan on Sat, Feb 14, 2009 at 14:45:04

Sorry about the hamstring. I have decided to not run, do situps or pullups for a week. Just walk, ellipticals or biking to give my damaged muscles a chance to heal. Come join me.

From leslie on Sat, Feb 14, 2009 at 18:28:01

David with the Double D's! You are cracking me up! Okay,we went to Cheesecake Factory for lunch and to " He's Just Not That Into YOu" It was a great chick flick!! If David starts running who will Larry and Harold hang out with?? Don't encourage too much! Now we are off to rent Madagascar 2. I tried to get it last night with the grandkids, and it was out at the Red Box.

No exersize today! Not a single bit. Kinda nice actually to be a normal person for once.

From Marion on Sat, Feb 14, 2009 at 18:57:03

BTW- double d says HI! ;)

We bought Madagascar II and Madagascar II twinkies and ding dongs for the boys. I am going to do laundry during our date tonight :)

Kelli- I can't believe you were at Bajio last night! Twilight Zone! I don't think David will become obsessed with running...IF HE EVER STARTS! He does not have too much of an obsessed nature. He leaves the OCD to me :)

Maurine- I am sorry you are busted up :( What happened???

LEs- No fear of Harold and Larry being left all alone. I'll believe in Runner Double D when I see it!

Benn- Benn with the double nn- Happy V-day to you too! Have fun wiht Emma :)

From MichelleL on Sat, Feb 14, 2009 at 19:05:46

Don't forget your nickname, Amazon Goddess :) Oh yeah. We're doing a video with our kids too. I have found it's just not worth it to go out on VD.

From Burt on Sat, Feb 14, 2009 at 19:07:00

February is also Black History month.

From The Amazon Goddess!! on Sat, Feb 14, 2009 at 19:12:52

Burt- you are so right. Since the island of Madagascar is off of the coast of Africa, viewing this movie is pulling double duty. Thanks for the reminder ;)

Michelle- we don't go out either. It is too crowded and NO fun. What are you guys gonna watch?

-AG out!

From MichelleL on Sat, Feb 14, 2009 at 19:22:05

The Man Who Planted Trees - a cartoon hailed as one of the 50 greatest cartoons of all time (according to NetFlix sleeve). It's only an hour.

From The Amazon Goddess!! on Sat, Feb 14, 2009 at 19:36:22

Smart girl- 1 hour! I haven't heard of that one. Let me know if it is good ;) I am trying to get our party started so they boys can go to bed! I really want to relax and watch some grown up movie :)

From Smooth on Sun, Feb 15, 2009 at 00:45:14

David with the double D!!! LOVE IT!!! Definitely Darhling!!! Don't get him TOO committed. We need good athletic supporters: Mr. Smooth, Harold and DD to hold up the CC (Cheering Club).

GOOD JOB on your run today. FUN FUN Vday!

From marion on Sun, Feb 15, 2009 at 09:21:55

Smooth- I don't think there is any fear in Double D getting too committed. I just want him to start exercising and don't care what he does ;) It'd sure be nice if I had a running partner every once in a while ;)

From kelsey on Sun, Feb 15, 2009 at 17:32:32

Happy belated Valentines Day to you as well. The Double D thing cracked me up!!! I wore a rediculous outfit to my race yesterday- bright pink shorts, a bright blue shirt, and red flats, and I thought you would be proud that a woman yelled to me "hey pink shorts, i saw you, nice race!"

From leslie on Sun, Feb 15, 2009 at 18:03:09

I hope you have signed up for the Ogden Half, it is full. That was quick!

From Teena on Sun, Feb 15, 2009 at 21:14:17

Hope you enjoyed Madagascar 2. "Here's how you spell it ... M-O-T-O M-O-T-O." (some of the lyrics we sing around here from "I Like to Move It" from that wonderful flick).

((Smart girl to stay in on V-day ... Ry and I went to our favorite Steak House, only to be told there was a 2 hour wait ... so we went to another Steak House, same deal, 2 hours ... so we went to another one, once again, 2 hours ... after driving around for 2 hours we finally settle for Wingers!!

Hope you had a great time!

From Marion on Mon, Feb 16, 2009 at 00:03:03

Kelsey! Way to go, red hot pink chick with the slpash of blue :) I think the craziness keeps people from knowing how awesome we are and that we are gonna beat them!! By "we" I mean you are going to beat them :)

Les- I signed up a few months ago. :)

Teena- I LOVED moto-moto. II was very good and a ton of fun. "I like to move it" is my theme song. :) Sorry about dinner :( That is why we never go out ;)
