I told you so!  Yesterday I was UP 4 pounds from Saturday AM!!!! :p  This morning I was down 4.4 :D  So here's to hoping that I can go down another .2 so I can be at goal tomorrow :)  Does anyone have a sauna??? ;)

Today will be either a 60 minute walk on the treadmill or a 60 minute bike ride :)  Here's to hoping there is a 56 degree miracle afternoon high and I can get on my bike.   Should my miracle not happen, then I guess my treadmill walk can be my sauna ;D

Have a great day!  Oh- I had no soreness :D, only stiffness in the legs.  I think the stiffness was mostly water retention though.  I did take a THREE HOUR nap yesterday afternoon.  It felt so great!  I must have needed it, because I woke up feeling fantastic, not the usual "hungover" afternoon nap feeling. :)  I also slept all night too :D  I love running.  It's the BEST!!!

XOXOXOXOXO

* 3 miles on the treadmill. :)

No answers here. I got on the scale this morning and about cried. 5 pounds up from last week.

Good luck finding a sauna and getting to weight.

From leslie on Mon, Mar 30, 2009 at 14:08:07 from 76.23.61.78

Stupid stupid weight!!!! That's all I can say, if all else fails try a fleet emema, sorry if I grossed any one out, but when a woman is on a mission anything goes!! Right girls? I am going to be VERY BRAVE and not weigh myself until Friday and see what happens. I think it is going to be a relief actually. Has anyone discovered Greek Yogurt? How cow! It is to die for!

Marion, I am totally an moron, I don't know what I was thinking, but I will be out of town for the April 11th run, I think Maurine could help organize a run, so check with her, another possiblilty is the PR trail, but talk to Maurine. Sorry I am such a goof ball.

That is awesome you feel so good after the half, that means you are in killer shape!!!! You gotta love it baby!!!!

From Kelli on Mon, Mar 30, 2009 at 15:11:31 from 71.219.100.181

Yeah for no soreness!!!

A nice long, hot run before a weigh in always drops two pounds for me! You will do fine, no worries!!!

From luzylew on Mon, Mar 30, 2009 at 19:14:38 from 208.187.197.42

Great job on Saturday (by the way). And no soreness!! you are well on your way to Marathoning! I read here that Leslie can't do April 11th, and I know Maurine may be nursing an IT band. So keep me updated. I think it's awesome you came in at 2:23. My sister walk/jogged Moab and came in around 3:04 --but she wanted 5 years in a row and did it. You're doing so great!

From tarzan on Mon, Mar 30, 2009 at 19:20:52 from 97.117.61.64

Tarzan will be running by then. Maybe not hard - but I will be back. I think the Draper trails would be a nice run. There is a loop/out-n-back that covers 11 miles and another mile around the park that I start at.

From Marion on Mon, Mar 30, 2009 at 20:17:46 from 71.213.118.108

That sounds perfect Maurine :) Post some directions and I will let everyone know :)

From rattletrap on Mon, Mar 30, 2009 at 20:25:42 from 24.19.93.139

Gosh Leslie! You really grossed me out with all that talk about Greek Yogurt! Yuk!

Congrats on the race Marion! :)

From Marion on Mon, Mar 30, 2009 at 20:39:00 from 71.213.118.108

I've only had it on Gyro's and I love it. :) What's so nasty about it rattletrap? :)

From rattletrap on Mon, Mar 30, 2009 at 20:51:46 from 24.19.93.139

yogurt + garlic = Tzatziki Sauce Yuk!

I was trying to be funny by implying that it was even grosser than what she thought might gross people out in the first part of her post :) I know, I have a very strange sense of humor. It must be from all the running :)

From Marion on Mon, Mar 30, 2009 at 20:58:21 from 71.213.118.108

I actually missed the greek yogurt comment because the previous topic makes me gag ;D I would be quicker with the humor, but I have a 3 year old yelling at me to come play on the Wii ;)

From leslie on Mon, Mar 30, 2009 at 21:00:55 from 76.23.61.78

Rattletrap, you had me laughing! I knew what you were talking about!

From tarzan on Mon, Mar 30, 2009 at 21:02:55 from 97.117.61.64

I started eating Greek Yogurt this week after reading about it in a Biggest Loser book. My favorite - mixing it in with chili and cooked wheat kernels.

From leslie on Mon, Mar 30, 2009 at 21:06:06 from 76.23.61.78

I got the honey flavored and eat it right out of the carton, tonight I will do it with mixed berries and a little granola. YUM!!! I heard them talking about it on the Today Show, and then my ultra running buddy Alice said she eats it, dang it is good.

From tarzan on Mon, Mar 30, 2009 at 21:07:40 from 97.117.61.64

It pays to read the cartons. Some of the yogurt I saw was more than double the calories of the others for the same serving size.

Wait - you have another ultra running buddy? I'm crushed (just because I didn't let you run on Saturday :( ).

From rattletrap on Mon, Mar 30, 2009 at 21:08:37 from 24.19.93.139

I'm glad someone got a laugh out of that :)

So is "greek yogurt" different than Tzatziki Sauce? I can see putting Tzatziki Sauce on a Gyro, but eating it by itself? not.

From tarzan on Mon, Mar 30, 2009 at 21:09:57 from 97.117.61.64

I dunno - I've only eaten greek food once. The greek yogurt I had was just thicker and more full of flavor (and a bit tangier) than my usual Yoplait.

From Marion on Mon, Mar 30, 2009 at 21:40:27 from 71.213.118.108

Yes- greek yogurt is different than the sauce on gyro's. I am going to have a gyro tomorrow night along with an order of cheese fries!

*warning- it's pretty pointy ;)

From leslie on Tue, Mar 31, 2009 at 00:09:07 from 76.23.61.78

This yogurt was divine, I hear it is not full of chemicals and crap.

Maurine, this ultra buddy was the one who hooked me up to pace in the Wasatch 100, she no longer runs, you are my true ultra running sister of the world!! :)

From RAD on Tue, Mar 31, 2009 at 00:09:38 from 67.166.99.8

Marion, you crack me up! I'm so glad you feel great after your race AND you did a great job! Have fun this week fighting the weather...its got to get better soon, right?

From tarzan on Wed, Apr 01, 2009 at 19:50:30 from 97.117.61.64

Sounds like you got some great nutrition knowledge from the race. Every little bit helps you learn what does and does not work for you. And that even changes depending upon heat, time of day, etc.
