I started running in May of 2006 while losing 85 lbs after my youngest was born.  I have 6 fantastic kids, 3 girls and 3 boys and a wonderful husband.  My oldest is in college and my baby is in pre-school. (Six kids in 5 schools ;)

I went to the BEST training last night.  I really found myself inspired to get to my new weight goal.  I NEVER thought in a million years that I would really run a marathon... and secondly, that less than two weeks away from it, really feel like it was going to happen and be pretty good :)  I guess that I can do REALLY hard stuff!   I can stick to plans and rules and finish something that I start.  I can take the tools and skills that I have learned and apply them to ANYTHING, including losing these 25 pounds that I want to see gone.  (actually 33 :)

Thanks so much to you all for ALL of your support and kindness.  Thank you for the long runs when I am sure you had much better things to do.  Tons of love to you all!!!

I am off to cut some hair out of my boys eyes ;)

Marion - I don't know if I've mentioned it - but I'm very proud of you for how hard you have worked to get into shape and how focused on the marathon your training has been. You will do awesome!

Thanks my DEAR SWEET FRIENDS!!! Last night we were learning ways to help motivate our members to attain and maintain their healthy weight goals. It was mentioned that some of us are just overwhelmed and can't even believe that we can achieve a healthy weight. ONe of the leaders says to her members some really cool things that reminded me that I can do HARD stuff. It gave me an awesome shot in the arm and the motivation I need to get my rear in gear!

I am so excited for you for your first of many marathons I'm sure.

Ditto that I need some inspiration too. Today I just started a progam to get myself back on track after letting myself go during my move to Cali. I can't wait to hear about the marathon.

Marion you really are inspiring. When I picture finishing a marathon it makes me cry, and I'm at the start of the training! I'm sure you will do great. I wanted to come cheer you on but I realized we'll be in yellowstone. I'll be thinking about you! BTW - Mark started weight watchers last week! He went to the first meeting.
