Smooth, you are a genius!  I packed all of my stuff yesterday after your comment and you know what?  When my alarm went off- I swore at it- turned it off, rolled out of bed, said my prayers and off I went :)  Yes, people with potty mouths pray! ;D  Anyway- the swim was great and is getting easier and faster all the time :)  The run was not bad at all today :)  I ran on the canal trail/dirt road for half of the miles.  It was a bit slow, as I had to traverse and navigate a sea of rocks and pot holes.  My last two miles were on the road and it shows.  The first mile and a quarter was on the road too :)

I hope you all have  a GREAT day :)  I am not sure what I will do today, it's kinda open, which is very nice :)  Friday and Saturday are the rest of the league finals.  Fordy took 11th in freestyle, 3rd in breast stroke and 6th in back stroke.  He's such a cute little fish :)  That little boy could swim before he walked.  At the pool he used to scare the crud out of the life guards that did not know him.  As a matter of fact, Ford's first love was Chizel (new to the blog).  She was a life guard at our pool and he would just stare at her when he wasn't under water.  He has such great taste :)

Great job on the swim and the run this morning. You are definitely improving.

And congratulations to your little fishy fishy. (Oh I wish I was a little fishy fishy . . . Did you ever sing that song at girls' camp?)

That canal is pretty hard to run on, when you have to watch every step and ankles need to be on guard. I am going to find some sugar free shaved ice today while I am out and about. :) :) :)

Michelle- The canal trail from Spring Lake Elementary to Santaquin is much better than the trail is from Payson through Salem. :) I don't know what they did to it in that section, but it is SCARY dangerous!! :) Come by and get me and the boys- we love to go snow coning :) The one across from Smiths is the best (in the Curves parking lot) The one across from the old police station has the sugar free too, but their ice is more coarse.

Carolyn- I am feeling GREAT :) Now I am an avid Camp Song connoisseur, but I am not sure I know that one :) Would you hum a few bars .... he heheheheh...

Wow you have picked up the pace! Enjoy your open day--that has got to be a rare treat!

I knew the good Marion could conquer the evil Marion! Nice way to get your stuff together and hop out of bed and dive into it!

I even jumped into the pool this morning :)

Way to get out and get going... today my inner two year old beat me out. So it will be a long run on the treadmill for me :( Enjoy your open day, they don't come along very often.

From Smooth on Thu, Jul 30, 2009 at 12:15:55 from 71.32.233.46

WAY to roll out of bed and got the AWESOME swim and run done! You totally ROCK the evil out this monring!!!

I have a canal trail here too, a little over 2.5 miles long, I run them on recovery days. Have fun snow-coning! CONGRATS to little Nemo, er Ford! I wish he could teach me how to swim!

Marion, call me and I'll sing it for you. There were several verses, but I only remember the ones that were a little risque (the fishy fishy and the bar of soap).

From Maurine/Tarzan on Thu, Jul 30, 2009 at 15:41:32 from 97.117.71.75

Great job on swimming and running. You are getting stronger every day.

Congratulations on conquering the evil Marion.

Lori- I am sorry your 2 year old beat you up this morning. They can be SO evil!!

Smooth- our canal trail goes for MILES down here. The section I run on goes for at least 8 miles south, and 6 for sure north. I am glad I got over the fear of running it alone :) I still need some pepper spray ;) A deer I saw last week was acting really weird, so I'd better be safe ;)

Carolyn- I know that song, "I wish i were a little bar of soap(bar of soap), oh I wish I were a little bar of soap(bar of soap), oh I'd slippy and I'd slidey over everybody's hiney, Oh I wish I were a little bar of soap (bar of soap)" Is that it???

Miles- Thanks Maurine :) I am feeling a TON better these days :) How are you???

From Carolyn in Colorado on Thu, Jul 30, 2009 at 18:47:44 from 198.241.156.7

Yes, Marion. That's it. The fishy verse goes like this:

Oh I wish I was a little fishy-fishy (fishy-fishy), oh I wish I was a little fishy-fishy (fishy-fishy). I'd go swimmin' in the nudey without a swimmin' suity, oh I wish I was a little fishy-fishy (fishy-fishy).

From Smooth on Thu, Jul 30, 2009 at 18:50:56 from 71.36.74.201

Marion, Carolyn!!! Such a cute little naughty song!!!
