.8 miles on the treadmill at Brady's office and 1.33 at home on the road :) My pace at Bradys was 5.6 ?? on his treadmill (10:40, I think) and my pace on the road was 9:47. I wasn't trying to go fast, it just came out that way :) It felt SO good to breath hard and work HARD. I almost got a BEAUTIFUL side stitch. I feel ALIVE again! The air smelled SO good and the sun was hot on my skin, (super white skin, blinding drivers). Oh shoot, I forgot about all of the bruises on my legs. Tonight when I can't sleep, I will add all of the things I am working on from Brady. I need to stretch and head out to Jon & Kelly's reception. I am SO happy for them!!
** Dr instructions- add miles by the 20% rule ;) I am SO glad it is not the 10% rule :D For the first two weeks, 2 miles with 2 days of rest in between. Then add 20% a week onto three days until I am at 6 miles a day. Then add in the other days by 20%.
OK- now for what is my problem. My right foot does this weird little dance when I run. I have to focus on getting my toes UP and turned in a bit. He gave me some drills to do during my run to help strengthen my inner thighs and shin muscles.
I AM SO HAPPY!!!!
5:30 am on "Bike" with Michelle on "Shoe." I see Brady this afternoon. I have a titch of hope that he will let me start running again soon, like today :) And NO, I didn't force Michelle into a longer run on purpose, I just talk WAY too much :)
I just looked back, and July 31st was the day the ITB went south :( As for the injury, I feel fine. There is still a deep ache in my right hip some times, mostly night or morning. I am pretty sure it is the hip flexor, very deep, very hard to stretch well. Even though it is my right side that is "injured," I have been scraping and working my left quad and itb as well. I have bruises all over my legs. I look horrible. Good thing it's not swimming weather ;D
