37 degrees.  It rained all night long.  It was drizzeling while I ran.  No wind.  I was a bit tired and relaxed.  The pace was slow, but negative splits are a positive.  I ran up around the  mountain base above the crud.  It was really pretty up there.  I could see down in the valley- well not really, I could see a brown soup where the valley should be.

I am icing my foot. My neuroma is acting up at 3.5 miles instead of 6.5.  I am wondering if icing it after runs will help.

Have a great weekend!  I need to go shopping.  It's impossible to eat good food if you don't have any in the house ;D

Glad you got above the muck! Those stupid neuromas! I hope you can do something about that. Negative splits! Way to go, a slow day is good, it's all good, any day we get out is good!!!! Good miles girl. How many miles are you doing tomorrow? You should come run with us in Park City!!

From tarzan on Fri, Jan 23, 2009 at 10:47:19

Good run there girl!

Have you considered having the neuroma removed? I had mine removed about 10 years ago. It actually came back and got worse for a couple of years, but then it just kind of quit hurting after a while.

From Marion on Fri, Jan 23, 2009 at 10:58:02

Les- I am only running 5 tomorrow and I have a rs breakfast :p Why don't you guys come down and go to the breakfast with me and then we can leave early and run :D

Maurine- I don't think I will have it removed because every story I hear has them coming back :( They don't bug me during regular use, just on longer runs, usually ;) They could be extra irritated because of the shoes I wore to work this week. :o Hopefully the ice will help, and NO HOOKER SHOES!!!

From Smooth on Fri, Jan 23, 2009 at 10:58:05

Hey, you seeked higher ground. Nice negative split run there! Good Job! Sorry to hear about the neuroma. Have a great weekend and happy good eats.

From Marion on Fri, Jan 23, 2009 at 10:59:59

Smooth- 6 grain cereal- things are looking good so far :) I have a ham bone in the crock-pot for bean soup tonight. Now if I can just get the middle parts to behave! ;)

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND EVERYONE! I am going to shower and then read my book!

From Kelli on Fri, Jan 23, 2009 at 12:20:52

No more hooker shoes, for sure! GREAT RUN today and feel better.

Have a great breakfast tomorrow. Love those RS breakfasts!

From snoqualmie on Fri, Jan 23, 2009 at 12:42:28

Well, at least you don't have so much ice to deal with now. Good run!

From leslie on Fri, Jan 23, 2009 at 12:44:20

I had to give up the hooker shoes too! I held on too long, they are evil and I am glad to be done with them forever.

Beans and hamhocks sounds so good!! We have a grandkid sleeping over, so I think it is a pizza night, and I will NOT have one single bite, I will eat something healthy! I have been so dang good and this weekend I am going to even be better, I want a 3 pound drop by Monday for the contest.

Have fun at the RS breakfast Marion and Kelli I hope you have clean air for your Riverton run.

From The Howling Commando on Fri, Jan 23, 2009 at 21:52:33

Thanks for always making me smile, Marion! You rock! Sorry about the little bit of pain :(. Not cool! I know that it's not the main cause of it, but maybe your Asics' shoes are ready for retirement? I don't know about you, but after 460 miles, my shoes are beyond trashed I think!

Oh, and as always, props for the splits, Miss NEGATIVE SPLIT QUEEN :)
