It was snowing, but it was a great day to run.  The roads were clear and next to no drivers out.  The best part was the Kim came and ran with me :D  When we got home I made her a green smoothie and she brought me a banana blueberry bran muffin.  The perfect morning :)  I made the same smoothie as yesterday except I added coconut oil.

I am off for a fun day with David and the boys.  Have a GREAT weekend!

Don't forget to PM me if you want to run with Leslie and me (and hopefully Maurine) in the morning.

You are so consistant! Great job!

I have your address, I will plan on being at your house at 7:00 unless you tell me otherwise. Hopefully Maurine will come down with me!

oh, why the coconut oil? Coconut is my favorite food. Is there health benefits, or is it just flavor?? Fill me in, I have been seeing lots of coconut recipes and products at the Bocsh store, what's up with that?

Coconut oil is supposed to be VERY good for you. Who knows. I figure I will add a table spoon every morning for my healthy oil and see if it helps. Who knows! I made popcorn with it last night and it was dang tasty. I am going to use it in my bread recipe.

7 am is GREAT!!! :) Cant wait to see you!

hi Allie! :D The family is cute and a bit nuts! But what is that they say about the nuts not falling too far from the tree :)

yes, i think i am eating EVERYONE's bananas. they are just too delicious! i know you are the queen of recipes, so i will share a banana one with you:

banana ice cream (it is 100% raw, no fat, no sugar)

take a bunch of very ripe bananas, cut into bite-sized pieces and freeze for 20 min. or so just until they are firm but not frozen solid. put them in a food processor or blender and let them hang out in there with the motor running until the bananas turn white and fluffy (it will look similar to soft-serve ice cream). you can either eat it at this point, or put it back in the freezer for a bit until it firms to your desired consistency. i like it plain, but of course it has a very strong banana flavor because that's all that is in it! sometimes i will add blueberries and a touch of lemon zest for a different flavor. you could also add fresh coconut meat and the seeds from a vanilla bean for a more tropical treat!

Yum!!! Thanks for the tip! I am going to give it a try!

Ooooooo.. yummy! That sounds so good! I have done that with frozen watermelon and lime. I am going to have to try it with bananas. I freeze all of the half eaten bananas left around by my kids for frozen treats. The kids always take a whole banana and just take 2 bits and leave the rest! I wont eat it after it has been laying around, but I will eat it if it has been frozen ;) go figure?

You had a nice running and eating week. Those green smoothies sound nutrilicious. Have a great run with the red hot pink chicks tomorrow. :D

It looks like Maurine might not come, dang it! I will be there, call me if you have any time or place adjustments. I think you have my # since you called me while in St. George. How long do you think the drive is? I think it usually takes me one hour to get to Springville, how far from Springville to Payson?

From Marion on Fri, Feb 27, 2009 at 20:56:49 from 71.219.56.19

Les-

It will only take about 5 min longer to get to us. I'll pm you directions :)
