Great run today :)  I actually felt really good today.  On mile 5 I needed to so some strides.  I did three, 8:50, 8:45 and 7:39.  The last one drained the tanks and so I just took the last mile nice and easy.

Today's green smoothie is VERY pink.  1/2 raw beet, beet greens, celery, orange, apple, banana, kale, carrot and lemon juice.  I wonder if my teeth are pink???  I should probably use a straw!

Leslie and Maurine (hopefully) are coming to run around Payson with me on Saturday.  We are going 10-14 miles at a very easy and relaxed pace.  We'd love to have more company if anyone is up for it :)

Me too Lori!

Leslie- we need to find a route to run with Lori around N. Salt lake-ish in the next few weeks. :)

From leslie on Thu, Feb 26, 2009 at 19:20:39 from 76.23.61.78

Sounds good to me!

From Marion on Thu, Feb 26, 2009 at 19:23:19 from 71.213.114.30

Leslie- You and Maurine and the professionals, where should we run? My sil Kylee can come too. She lives in N. SL.

Lori- How many miles are you needed in the next few weeks?

Have any of you tried Coconut oil?

From leslie on Thu, Feb 26, 2009 at 19:24:33 from 76.23.61.78

I just noticed Lori lives in Pleasant View. I ran from Brigham City with a friend to Pleasant View and back for 40 miles, I think my friend called it the canal trail, that is all I know of up that way, Lori could tell us some good ones I am sure, and Maurine knows alot up that way too, since she used to live in Layton.

Lori and I were trying to find a mid way spot for us two since we are the two who are at the furthest ends of the WORLD!! :) It's about an hour for both of us to SLC.

Is the Capital building half way? We can run thru Memory Grove and along 11th East, that is nice, there are trails in City Creek, but it has been years, that might be fun to explore.

great run marion. i would love to join y'all but am sure there is no way i could make the whole way, even if you are going at an easy pace...that would be about 4.0 for me and then itd be a three hour trail :)

From Marion on Thu, Feb 26, 2009 at 21:04:11 from 71.213.114.30

What if you rode a bike :) seriously...

How is Dad?

Great run! Must be the smoothies... Kale in a smoothie though? I don't know about that. I may have to try it though since I always have Kale around for my bunny. It's his favorite :)

I am more of a fan of protein mix, half a frozen banana, and all kinds of berries. You should add blueberries, they're awesome for you!

From kelsey on Thu, Feb 26, 2009 at 21:42:53 from 98.230.3.218

Oops, and milk of course! Otherwise I'd have a protein mix salsa.

From Marion on Thu, Feb 26, 2009 at 21:47:29 from 71.213.114.30

You hit the nail right on the head, " protein mix salsa!" I love it!

Maybe I would like blueberries in the smoothie. I am not a big fan of them plain- flavorless mush ;) My husband loves them and thinks I am nuts for not liking them .

I haven't really planned on what miles I'm going to be running. I know I should plan better but hey, I'm just happy I'm moving right now. I could probably handle 10-14 or so.

Memory Grove sounds beautiful!

From Metcalf Running on Thu, Feb 26, 2009 at 22:33:51 from 71.219.123.68
