All righty... this run was AWESOME!!!  First of all, THANK YOU, Maurine, Luz and Anna Lisa!  You guys are the BEST ever and I love you FOREVER!!!!  Again, Luz's sweet hubby drive us to Will's Pitstop at 6:50 to start our 20 miler.  We ran from there up to Vivian and then back down to Geneva Road where we met and parked the cars.  Maurine and I did not get all the way up to Vivian as this would have put is too far over our 20 mile goal.  the weather was PERFECT and the company was BETTER!!!

I hydrated every 2 miles, starting at mile 4 and gu'd every four miles.  The marathon has water stations every 2 miles starting at mile 4 ;)  I only drank water on this run.  I am trying to see if I am gettng too much salt and if that will help with the MAJOR water retenion I have been experiencing.  I do have a little twinge in my left calf now and I am thinking that I need a bit of salt during the run.  So for the race I will gatorade at the aid stations that I am not gu'ing at.

After our run we sat in the river.  That was AWESOME.  I screamed at bit going in.  I bet some trail goers were wondering what was going on in the bushes ;)  After our river dip, we walked over to Luz's where her dear hubby fed us fruit and water as we stretched in the sun in her BEAUTIFUL back yard.

Thanks Maurine for the WONDERFUL bread!!!  I had a nice fat slice when I got home :)

I am off to get my day going :)  Have a GREAT rest of the day!!!

Great job on your run. I think your are going to be just fine in the marathon and wish you all the running karma in the world. Just don't hyperventilate before you start from all that deep breathing.

Oh good job Marion! A 20 miler! You can totally do the marathon - mind over matter, right? I hear it's good to soak legs in cold water after a big run so you are smart to get in the river! Good job running.

Thanks Kylee :)

I am pretty glad today - NO EMOTIONAL CRASH!!! I am pooped, but that is OK. I can handle pooped :)

You rocked the house today lady. I can't believe how strong you were to the very end. We'll have a great run on June 13th :) Glad to share the river, fruit, and the backyard. J's always good to support the girls when he's around. He thinks we're pretty awesome, and we really are when you think about it.
