I started running in May of 2006 while losing 85 lbs after my youngest was born.  I have 6 fantastic kids, 3 girls and 3 boys and a wonderful husband.  My oldest is in college and my baby is in pre-school. (Six kids in 5 schools ;)

WINDY!!!  Man oh man!  I had a ton of head wind in the first two miles.  I got a few spurts of tail wind in mile 3 and 4.  Mile five was pretty calm.  My knee is still complaining.  It is fine for the runs, it just seems achy with certain moves and maybe feels a titch swollen.   I'm not sure what to think.  I'll just keep stretching, rolling and icing and see where we are next week.

Darn knee. Darn wind. But nice 5 miles.

The run actually felt GREAT! I love running, and the knee is only intermittently weird, and not when I run, usually :) I just worry that something is really wrong that I am ignoring. PLUS, what if something is wrong and I can never run again??? See, all of these crazy things are really the problem. My poor knee is probably fine :)

I do the same thing with my aches sometimes. I'm trying to do better about 'ignoring' them - unless I can tell there is REALLY a problem.

Nice job on fighting the wind - its CRAZY!!

So, Marion, I had to laugh when this morning at 5:50 I checked my email and got an email from you with the Topic line saying "+Hi+". I open it and there's a link and I assumed you sent us pictures of a race or something :). So I click and it takes me to some site for Canadian natural enhancement and discount Viagra. LOL Thanks for making my morning (I assume that it was a spambot that got into your email contact list and sent out a message so no worries).

But, how you been? How is the knee and hip?

Well, you know Benn, I just wanted to make sure that you were covered ;) OK- so seriously, how do spambots get you??? Can I protect myself? It got into my work email and just bombed EVERYONE!!! :(

Haha. Unfortunately not too much you can do. Unless you want to throw out your PC and get a MAC. Macs are a lot less susceptible to viruses. Best thing you can do is probably change passwords to your email/facebook accounts. And download a free virus protector.

You can't go wrong with a Mac!

I got it, too. Luckily I was in need of the product.
