800m IM (minus the butterfly)  David says I can't call it an IM if I don't do the butterfly ;p  He is such a party pooper!!!  So what do I call it?  The Fly-less Medley? Marion's Moronic Medley?  I'm-a-dork-and-can't-fly Medley?  I Believe I Can't Fly Medley???

50:00, 11:54 ave, Splits-11:43, 11:45, 11:52, 12:03, 2:05(.2)

POOPED on the run this morning.  I was HUNGRY and tired today.  I am very tender in the hips where the rolling KILLS!  My hip was aggravated during the first 3/4 mile but then gave up.  The knee started to twinge a bit at about 3.27 miles but did not do more than whine a bit. :)

So here is my next question-  Give me my morning routine.  Stretch, roll, run, stretch, roll?  Or run, stretch, run, stretch, roll???  Roll, stretch, run, stretch, roll?  I am doing the stretching and rolling 2 other times during the day,  I just am curious about what to do around my run :)  Oh yeah- don't forget I swim before all of this running stuff too ;)

OH oh oh, today when I got out of the pool, this lady told me that I was a GREAT swimmer!!!  I talked to her for a bit, it turns out that she is an injured runner with PF.  No wonder she thinks I can swim, she's one of those hydrophobic runners ;)

When I grow up, I want to live on the coast with amazing running trails with all of my running friends and have a heated outdoor pool with a track around it for speed work and a full time sports med pt/chiro and a fantastic massage therapist.  Oh yeah, and a chef and a laundress and a house keeper.  Wait- this need to be Smoothies hotel with beach front bungalows.  Anybody in??

I'm so in!!! When I win the lottery I'll help you build it.

I would only stretch prior to activity. The rolling (I don't think anyway) is good to do before. I'd do the rolling at the end of the day, it breaks down your muscle tissue so you don't want to do that unless you're giving it adequate time for recovery. If you break it down too often without giving proper recovery it will tear. That's my 2 cents anyway.

You are doing amazing at the swimming. I'd love to try it with you sometime, I think swimming is like running was for me 2 years ago...I can do it, just slow and awkward :)

ok Rad- you are my next door neighbor in our perfect world :) Yes- let's swim :) Hey- my lower back is now mad at me. I wonder if I am doing something to help my knee that is neglecting or aggravating my lower back?? Maybe I am not stretching my hams. The hams like to make the lower back mad. Any ideas?

you can count me in!

From Carolyn in Colorado on Tue, Aug 04, 2009 at 17:46:33 from 198.241.156.7

I'm totally in, but RAD, I thought they didn't have a lottery in Utah.

I'd grow up if I thought that dreams like that could come true.

And I'm sure you're an awesome swimmer, Marion. I'm a really horrible awful no-good very bad swimmer. If you can even call it that.

Wow that sounds GREAT! Hope all your little aches and pains STOP IT! You are a swimming-biking-running machine!

From Smooth on Tue, Aug 04, 2009 at 23:00:21 from 71.32.234.135

Me me me me me, I'm IN!!!

This is what I'd do: eat breakfast while reading the scriptures, light stretch, run, stretch, bike to the pool, swim, bike back, eat and drink, shower, roll, stretch or yoga, nap. Roll and stretch mid-day and while watching your favorite TV show.

Try the "kiss it better" therapy for the back pain. :)

From marion on Tue, Aug 04, 2009 at 23:05:23 from 71.213.115.102

I can't kiss my lower back and I have been in a furious cleaning tirade around the house for the last hour, so David wont kiss it right now either ;) Maybe if I tirade in a negligee???

From Smooth on Tue, Aug 04, 2009 at 23:11:41 from 71.32.234.135

From RAD on Wed, Aug 05, 2009 at 00:17:49 from 76.27.12.70

No ideas about the back, but the hams could be it. Okay, now that you've gone on your cleaning tirade at your house will you come to mine and do one? Saturday we're having a stake clothing exchange and I think I'm finally for real getting rid of ALL my fat clothes...kind of scares me, but I'm going to do it! I just need some motivation, but no lingerie :)

From RAD on Wed, Aug 05, 2009 at 00:18:42 from 76.27.12.70

oh...Carolyn, yeah no lottery here plus I've been told that you have to play in order to have a chance to win, but hey...you never know!! :)

From Lily on Wed, Aug 05, 2009 at 09:44:47 from 160.7.234.250

I'm in!

Why bother cleaning the house? It just gets dirty again.

Have your little kids walk on your back and crack it into place.

Hang in there - sounds like your body needs another break.

From marion on Wed, Aug 05, 2009 at 11:31:39 from 71.213.115.102

I finally got rid of ALL of my fat clothes last night. They are going to DI TODAY!!! :) It feels super cool :) (And a bit scary)

That sounds like the perfect dream!! Ocean, pool, smoothies, friends... when can I move in!?! Hahaha.

Fantastic job with the weight loss, Marion. I have tremendous admiration for anybody that can do that. And you look wonderful!!

Thanks for the comment- wedding plans are going well, slowly but surely. I may have found THE place to have the marriage and reception. We'll see- I plan on getting our families down there on Aug 22nd to scope it out. I love it and I can't wait to see how everybody else likes it.

My 23rd birthday was fun and yummy. Oh, and I am feeling much better and healing well. Thank you for checking in on me! Take care! :-)
