But the glory of sleeping in? It is nice to be able to stay up late and not pay the price when you have to wake up at the b*tt crack of dawn. At least I tried to tell myself that when I was out of commission.

sad but smart! Do something fun! Summer is about over.

So sorry... but I'm sure this will just be a small delay in your training! Hope all heals fast!

Thanks guys :) The one really good thing is that I don't have any races, except the Tri in September. That makes me not too worried or anxious about taking some time off. I am having "no running" anxiety- it makes me crazy to not run :)

ohhhh dear. That ITB band better heal! Find something to do and don't think about running!

Hang in there. A week will be over before you know it. Do something fun this week. You deserve it.

I ditto everyone's comment. Do something fun. Enjoy the rest of the summer.

Michelle and I just got back from Salem Pond with our boys(and my Ash). She even got me to jump off of the pier. Boy, that water tastes/smells BAD!!!! She brought the BEST peanut butter fudge :) Mmmmmmm....

From Smooth on Wed, Aug 12, 2009 at 17:18:21 from 71.36.86.177

Now that's fun with yum!

From marion on Wed, Aug 12, 2009 at 17:41:02 from 71.219.51.169

It was fun. The boys fished... well fed the fish their worms and then caught one poor little sun fish :( Sad...

Marion, don't rat me out! It was alot of fun, with a bit of eau de duck poo sprinkled about.

From marion on Wed, Aug 12, 2009 at 18:34:16 from 71.219.51.169

Duck poo??? You mean, goosecrap-carpcrap-duckpoo pond??? Oh yeah- and the dog poo on the grass??? Poo poo Pond ;)

And Michelle- every one needs to know of your fudge making skills :) YOU ROCK!!! :)

Fudge? How come I don't have friends that make fudge? (how come I don't have many friends?).

No worries - you can do the I Can Tri without even training - and it will be a PR. Right?

From Smooth on Thu, Aug 13, 2009 at 22:24:06 from 71.36.84.38

How's the ITB? Any more fudge left?

From marion on Fri, Aug 14, 2009 at 00:18:56 from 71.219.51.169

It feels fine :) I will see on monday if it will let me run a few miles :) The fudge is gone and was replaced by peanut butter bars :)

From leslie peterson on Fri, Aug 14, 2009 at 14:45:32 from 76.23.61.78

Just thinking about you! Hang in there.

From LuzyLew on Fri, Aug 14, 2009 at 14:52:33 from 208.187.197.42

Oh Marion. I am so sorry. Time will go by, you will get better and you will be more patient and stronger mentally because of it. It always makes me feel betrayed when my body calls the shots, but there are life lessons in all things. P.S. I had the best Maple/BrownSugar fudge. I ate like a half pound by myself.
