I started running in May of 2006 while losing 85 lbs after my youngest was born.  I have 6 fantastic kids, 3 girls and 3 boys and a wonderful husband.  My oldest is in college and my baby is in pre-school. (Six kids in 5 schools ;)

I checked out the highway and it is free and clear for running :)  My head is pretty lousy and I am hoping that I can avoid a full blown sinus infection.  I am taking the decongestants and I will start the steroid spray today.  I guess the dry air really does a number on my sinus.

I hope everyone is having a great day.  I am off to find some food.  The kids pretty much picked off all of the easy treats.  My 3 year old ate ALL of the oranges!  I knew I sould have gone grocery shopping last night.  Bummer!

My plan for this week is to run 5 miles a day with an 8 miler on saturday.  I am going to do a 5k time trial on wednesday or thursday, depending on how the nose is doing.  The #1 priority is to stay healthy for Painters!

Sounds like a good plan for the week. Funny how little kiddos can sneak into the yummies huh? hahaha Little buggers! :)

Hope you don't get sick again. Stay well for Painter's. That is an order.

Benn- they are really good at finding all of the good stuff ;)

Maurine- I do have a cold, I just have to keep it from turning in to a sinus infection. I wonder if I should stick to the treadmill this week for the humidity of the indoors.

From leslie on Sun, Jan 04, 2009 at 19:22:33

The treadmill might be the safe way to go, not sure, I just hope you can keep it from getting worse. Good Luck!!!

Hi Nicole- I am running Painters 1/2 in St George, Utah on the 17th of January. I was scheduled for one last Aug, but I pulled my calf and had to skip it :( I am trying to play down Painters so I don't jinx myself :D

From Smooth on Mon, Jan 05, 2009 at 16:02:01

How are you feeling today? I have a sore throat and runny nose but I'm determined to get rid of it before Painter's. Hope you get better real soon.

Are the plans for the apples still in place? I need to know a few specifics. I'll pm you with some questions.

Have a great week!

From Marion on Mon, Jan 05, 2009 at 17:24:37
