I started running in May of 2006 while losing 85 lbs after my youngest was born.  I have 6 fantastic kids, 3 girls and 3 boys and a wonderful husband.  My oldest is in college and my baby is in pre-school. (Six kids in 5 schools ;)

I was POOPED for the WHOLE run today :(  It's really ok though ;)  I decided to not wear my orthotics and see if they were the culprit for my foot pain.  Not sure.  My calves were totally ticked off without them.  Anyway...  I am glad that I am all done with the run :)  I am glad that I have a new modem and can blog again ;D

We have a big family thing on Saturday, so I am trying to figure out if I need to do my 20 miler on Friday instead of Saturday.  I need to decide today, so I can plan for the rest of the week.  I really need this run to NOT STINK!  It does not have to be great, just not leave me crippled.  I am going to check the weather forcast too.  That will help me.

What about Monday instead? I don't have to work that day.

I thought about Monday too. Hmmmm...... Let me do some more digging....

When I first got orthotics I though they were helping me. Then they just made my ankles hurt. I quit using them and have been better off without. The last 5 months have been with no orthotics, no arch supports, and lower-end running shoes(as far as price)--and now I am injury free. Strange, no? Good job on getting your run in--and good luck on that 20 miler! Wow.

I have been pooped too Marion. Absolutely knocked out. I did not throw in any races into my training-- so I can't imagine how it's going for you. I have 4 weddings and a funeral this Saturday and will be moving my HUGE run to Monday morning (Friday too is booked). Let me know if I can come Monday. Today was my first decent run in a week. I dragged all last week.

I vote for Monday! Then you can eat more at the BBQ that afternoon (I'm assuming you're doing that anyway!). Plus, I'm going to run the Spanish Fork 5K fun run, so I could possibly run into all of you somewhere afterward :) My dad is buried in Provo, so since we're headed that way anyway....

Marion, I can't believe you're already up for 20!! Are you so excited about this marathon? It will be great and I know you'll do great!! Yipee!!!

I will think of you all doing 20 miles, while I hike in the desert!! Have fun!!

Have fun on your 20 miler whichever day you decide to do it. I won't be running much the next few days.
