Good ITB > lead legs.

I wish I could come for Onion Days. Oh well.

Carolyn- There is going to be pig wrestling :) Michelle, Mac and I need another member for our team :) You can come and stay with us :) Onion Days is the ultimate white trash event :) Good times :)

YAY! Glad to hear the ITB behaves today!

I talked to hubby and he said we have no plans for Labor Day. Can you believe that? So, I may sign up today. Should I do the 5K or 10K? I am running the Spanish Fork 1/2 the Sat. before. I will check out the Onion Days courses. Do they have it on the web? Are you running 5K? Who else is running besides MichelleL?

From marion on Thu, Aug 27, 2009 at 11:44:40 from 71.213.121.129

YEAH!!! Michelle, Mac, Luz, Kelli, Scott, Kellie, Tyler, Jon, Kelly(bike)& Rachel. Leandra and Merri might :) I am sure that I am forgetting someone, there will be more :) I am doing the 5k, I think that everyone else is doing the 10k. Michelle is walk running the 10 k. The courses are pretty flat and just big squares, for the most part. The 10k has a bit more elevation, but no real hills.

From Smooth on Thu, Aug 27, 2009 at 11:51:10 from 71.36.82.218

COOL! Sounds like fun! I will probably sign up today. I will PM you to get directions, etc. Have no idea where the city center is. Haven't been to Payson much. BTW, my friend's family are performing "Wizard of OZ" in Payson. I might watch the matinee that day.

It must be contagious, I have lead legs today too! Nice to run with Kim!

From Maurine/Tarzan on Thu, Aug 27, 2009 at 12:30:15 from 63.255.172.2

No lead legs for me - but my ankles are sure stiff today.

Glad the ITB behaved itself.

Wish my nephew wasn't getting married Labor Day weekend so I could be at the race, but I will be off running lighthouses and buying books galore instead.

Marion-- I emailed the race director to see if there was a website besides runnercard.com that gave race details, mapped the course, instructions to start, etc. FYI: This is the official site:

Luzy ~ THANKS for the link. It helps to know at least the address of the race. I just registered for the 10K. What is this pig wrestling? I'm so bringing my camera. :)

From marion on Thu, Aug 27, 2009 at 18:13:42 from 71.213.121.129

YES- Michelle, McKenzie, Kellie and I have to wrestle a pig into a barrel.in under 60 seconds. It is going to be VERY exciting :) The event is Sat night and Monday night. We don't know what time it is yet. Michelle has grand ideas of winning the $200 prize. I just want to get the pig in the barrel without losing my shorts! Yes, there will be many pictures to share of our ultimate white trash somewhat sleezy adventure :)

From leslie peterson on Thu, Aug 27, 2009 at 18:16:07 from 76.23.61.78

From Smooth on Thu, Aug 27, 2009 at 18:18:32 from 71.36.82.218

Oh, it's at night! Guess I won't be there to witness all the ultimate white trash glory. Sounds like crazy mad fun! Please please post the pics. Can't wait! Hope you girls win, $200, is that $50 a piece? SWEET!

From Kelli on Fri, Aug 28, 2009 at 13:17:11 from 71.219.64.200

You ran, that is a win!!!

Have a great weekend Marion!

From LuzyLew on Fri, Aug 28, 2009 at 14:15:55 from 208.187.197.42

Seriosly, since this post yesterday, the pig in the barrel is all I can think of. I told Michelle that if you guys are going to put on that kind of a show, who am I to turn away from the train-wreck you know? You guys are so hilarious. Thanks for making a party on Onion Day. I really need a party to look forward to. I'm thinking of bringing an egg/salmon/caper/sourdough strada to balance out all the sweetness. If not, I love to make 'fruit syrup' or 'fruit infused syrups'. Let me know which would be most appropriate to bring with my can of crisco and MSG.

From marion on Fri, Aug 28, 2009 at 14:58:14 from 71.213.124.121

HOLY COW!~!! YES YES YES!!! :) The strata can bake while we run :) I am SO hungry now :)
