Nice Sunday with nothing I have to do but watch conference on the TV :)  Dinner is in the crock pot, I'm out of the shower and now I just get to veggg all day :)  Does anyone know how to spell vegg...????

My legs are not sore at all today.  I ran turtle pace, so I think that could be the explanation.  I forgot my Garmin yesterday, so I had no idea of our pace.  I am still pretty proud of myself for 15 miles :)  This week is 11, then 17, 18, 12, 19, 13, 20, 12, 8, then MARATHON!!!

This week I am going to focus on including protein at every meal.  I am going to try to tweak my diet a bit for better running and weight loss results ;)  Aren't we all???

Happy Sunday to all and CONGRATULATIONS to all you amazing racers yesterday!  WOW!!

okay, I'm kinda bummed I didn't get to chat with you yesterday! I was going to tell you about my new eating plan (I'm refusing to call it a diet!). I really want to try to eat natural - take out all the refined and processed crap. Organic and fresh, I think if I try to do this (which really shouldn't be too hard) I'll reduce my calorie intake and give my body GOOD fuel, so it will work better. Also, with eating more nuts and whole grains I'll get more fiber and protein in naturally. We'll see how it works out, I'll let you know next week at Porter Rockwell trail how its going. I don't have to work, so I can chat - YEA!!! Just a suggestion since you commented about the 'tweak'

I'm glad you're not sore, it always ruins a run for me when I'm sore and miserable after. Enjoy your 'nothing' day, I sure am!!

Rachel- you and I are thinking the exact same thing :) I can't wait to hear how it is going next week :) Good luck. I and going to get some organic greek yogurt tomorrow. It supposedly has twice the protein as regular yogurt :) I need a low cal recovery shake for after runs.

I am so bummed I missed the party yesterday. It was so cold, you ladies are BRAVE!

From tarzan on Sun, Apr 05, 2009 at 18:53:10 from 97.117.61.168

Kelli - will you be there next Saturday for part of the time?

I hurt all over today - but that might be because I did weight lifting yesterday for the first time in a long time.

From Kelli on Sun, Apr 05, 2009 at 21:23:38 from 71.219.95.20

I am not sure WHAT my plan for Saturday is yet, but I will let you know soon.

From Kelli on Sun, Apr 05, 2009 at 21:32:16 from 71.219.95.20

I just noticed your new title. FUNNY! you know, I will NEVER be able to race again without a pink shirt one, EVER! I need to get a customized one that says, "You've been chicked!" on the back of it. BUT I am afraid that would just motivate the heck out of any guy I happen to pass and he will pass me back!

From Marion on Sun, Apr 05, 2009 at 21:49:01 from 71.213.113.191

The shirts I am having made will say "Don't get Red Hot Pink Chicked!!" on the back. The Don't get chicked will be in black and the red hot pink will be different. Waht were some of the other funny chicked things for teh back?

From Kelli on Sun, Apr 05, 2009 at 21:50:37 from 71.219.95.20

SHIRTS??? We are having shirts made?

What was that last sentence? The typos had me confused (no worries, i am the queen of typos!)

From Marion on Sun, Apr 05, 2009 at 21:55:00 from 71.213.113.191

What were some of the other funny "chicked" sayings we made up a while ago? sorry for the typos "_

From Kelli on Sun, Apr 05, 2009 at 22:01:36 from 71.219.95.20

I do not recall....sorry.

From Smooth on Sun, Apr 05, 2009 at 23:26:47 from 71.36.85.29

The only guys I ever chicked are old geezers. May be I should have one that say: "Don't get geezerised!" Hahaha! :-D

From Marion on Mon, Apr 06, 2009 at 09:29:05 from 71.213.113.191

DAvid made up one- "Don't get Old Spiced"

From Metcalf Running on Mon, Apr 06, 2009 at 11:29:28 from 207.225.192.66

Smooth I'm with you, I only chicked old guys that are moving just faster then a walk :)

From luzylew on Mon, Apr 06, 2009 at 12:55:31 from 208.187.197.42

I've been thinking. I think the back of your t-shirt needs to say :

"You've just been pinked"

From montelepsy on Mon, Apr 06, 2009 at 13:10:12 from 155.85.58.253

How about "no smoking within 10 feet" as a warning?

From Marion on Mon, Apr 06, 2009 at 14:36:12 from 71.213.113.191

Luz- that is it! Perfect!

Mike- It is true- we are so hot that even the slightest spark could ignite us ;)

From kelsey on Sat, Apr 11, 2009 at 20:39:13 from 98.230.3.218

I have been busy so I just saw this, but count me in on the shirts!! I now wear hot pink shorts every time I race!
