Still not sick :)  It looks like we are going to call David at mile 21 and then he will come to the finish line :)  I am SO grateful for his job.... I'll just leave it at that ;)  Work is good, job is good, money is good :D

My left foot is still bugging me which makes me afraid to run on it. I keep thinking it is nothing, but what if it is the begining of a stress fracture and there are just 26.2 miles left on it before I can't run on it anymore :)  How is that for a paranoid delusion?

For my activity today, I am going to clean the house like a mad woman.  I'd ride my bike but what if I crash or get hit by a car?  What if the biking caused the knee problem?  Yes, I am NUTS!!!  I may have an anxiety attack and die.  Can you die from paranoid hypochondria?  I will be SO glad for this Saturday to come :)  At least I am still sleeping :)  ....for now!!!!

I can see that you've got a good case of taper anxiety LOL... I hope you can use all that excess energy to help you with the house cleaning! Like you said at least you are still sleeping good.

Try to relax, and visualize a positive marathon experiance. Maybe that will help the anxiety.

I am So excited about Saturday. I have NO anxiety about the run, just about making to the run in one piece. What a DORK! You'd think I'd be worried about running 26.2 miles, but I'm not. Man 'O live, I am to crazy for words :)

From Maurine/Tarzan on Wed, Jun 10, 2009 at 11:56:49 from 63.255.172.2

Have you thought of having a chiropractor look at your foot? I am going to mine for a tuneup this afternoon.

Remember - Thursday night is the night you need to focus on good sleep since a lot of people don't sleep well the night before a marathon.

Are you starting your hydration and carbo loading?

From marion on Wed, Jun 10, 2009 at 12:01:26 from 71.219.54.130

YEp- I have been drinking Powerade Zero all week. I will start with G2 tomorrow. I am having more protein today and will hit the carbs hard starting tomorrow :) Yes- I have considered going in to the chiro today. I will call him right now :)

Man O'live, I'm getting excited for you just feeding off your hypochondriac vibes!

From Maurine/Tarzan on Wed, Jun 10, 2009 at 12:03:59 from 63.255.172.2

Yeah - bought 16 small bottles of G2 last night. I never tried it before, but it is not bad.

Lots of sickness at work. Luckily I don't hang with people, but I am still trying to stay away from the pukers and coughers.

From marion on Wed, Jun 10, 2009 at 12:13:35 from 71.219.54.130

I wish I could avoid my sick-o's. They are just too cute and want Mama Loves!

G2 is great! Powerade Zero is kinda boring, but hey, it's not diet Pepsi- which I have not had for a good week.

Burt- it's kinda like watching a train wreck :)

You're not sick and you're sleeping. Those are good things!

Remember, it's just a long run with friends and extra food.

I am so excited to see how you do this weekend. Keep resting, that's all you can do at this point!!

From Burt on Wed, Jun 10, 2009 at 13:47:32 from 68.76.197.194

Well, maybe my Tuesday blog can relieve some of your stress.

From marion on Wed, Jun 10, 2009 at 14:04:26 from 71.219.54.130

Burt- cute Pic's :)

Just got back from the doc. Just inflamation in the joint. Ice and Ibuprofin. He said I could run on it, but at this point, I'd rather it just chill and heal for the marathon :)

From RAD on Wed, Jun 10, 2009 at 14:04:38 from 67.166.99.8

Marion, I felt the same way! Since I signed up for my marathon in January I wouldn't take my family skiing, because I was afraid I'd do something to jeopardize the marathon! Funny how we can get crazy like that :) As long as you still realize its all in your head your good! Enjoy the ride...you'll never get your first time back again!! :) lol!

From Smooth on Wed, Jun 10, 2009 at 14:31:40 from 71.36.64.224

You're doing it right, smart tapering! Glad to hear all systems are good to go. So excited for you! :)

From rattletrap on Wed, Jun 10, 2009 at 19:45:29 from 24.19.93.139

You crack me up :) I felt the same way before my first marathon and everything turned out perfect. You are going to do great! I can't wait to read your race report.

From MichelleL on Wed, Jun 10, 2009 at 20:25:24 from 71.35.250.200

Still feeling good? I won't contradict your analysis of hypochondria tendencies, but its very common before marathons.

From marion on Wed, Jun 10, 2009 at 22:51:03 from 71.219.54.130

Hola Michelle :) I am feeling GREAT! Saw the Doc, and there is just some inflammation in the joint, probably from the combination of running and wearing my hooker shoes ;) I am going to ice it and leave it alone :) I think it is the way the orthotics have shifted my foot strike...and my hooker shoes. I am REALLY excited for Saturday. I just finished my marathon shirt. I made an iron on that says "26.2 Virgin" on the back and my name on the front. I will wear my hot pink visor. I also made a pocket for my favorite "pocket-less" shorts. I think it is going to make my shorts fall off, so I am going to add a draw string. I have all of my gu's selected and in my pocket. I am a hyper-hypo sipping my Powerade :)

Happy evening to you all and THANKS SO MUCH FOR YOUR SUPPORT!!!

XOXOXOXXOOOO!!

From MichelleL on Wed, Jun 10, 2009 at 23:19:10 from 71.35.250.200

Oh man, you crack me up. I haven't been able to wear heels for 5 months. No street walking for me.

From marion on Wed, Jun 10, 2009 at 23:21:25 from 71.219.54.130

Bummer! I really miss being over 6 feet tall. It also makes me look skinnier :)
