My Favorite Quote-   "When you get into a tight place and everything goes against you, till it seems as though you could not hold on a minute longer, never give up then, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn." -Harriet Beecher Stowe

I started running in May of 2006 while losing 85 lbs after my youngest was born.  I have 6 fantastic kids, 3 girls and 3 boys and a wonderful husband.  My oldest is in college and my baby is in pre-school. (Six kids in 5 schools ;)

the walk run thing seems to be fitting the bill.  I plan to run walk 8 miles on Sat and then 10 the next saturday.  I have been foam rolling my  right hip like crazy.  My right hip seems to be the cause of my ITBS.  that darn hip :p  I am pretty happy that things are going well.  It's hard to relax and just go with whatever happens.

Try ASTYM! I am trying to convert everyone to it! ;o)

From marion on Wed, May 25, 2011 at 23:31:24 from 71.213.126.76

astym is a regular occurrence for me :) It's the pain you love to have :)

From Kelli on Wed, May 25, 2011 at 23:35:52 from 71.219.96.115

OH!!! I did not know that!!! It is painful, huh?? Bummer that it is not CURING you for good, though. That makes me worried!!!

From marion on Wed, May 25, 2011 at 23:41:16 from 71.213.126.76

It cures what ails you at the moment, but I just love to create new injuries that have to get all worked out over and over :)

From Kelli on Wed, May 25, 2011 at 23:42:46 from 71.219.96.115

Well, here is for hoping I get cured then! So far so good....

From marion on Wed, May 25, 2011 at 23:46:37 from 71.213.126.76

Astym is fabulous! It has worked so well on all of my running injuries! My doc uses astym and estym and bio injections. It really works well, but when we run our bodies to death, we have to keep on getting help with the healing :)

No kidding!

I never heard back from you what help you need for the upcoming race, so let me know.
