I have cut my points recently and my runs have really suffered, so I have created a new plan. I am going to divide my WPA differently than before. I am also going to up my daily points by 2. I changed the answer to number 5 on how I spend my day to 2. Any hoots, here is the plan, Sunday 30 (6 WPA), Monday 24 (0 WPA), Tuesday 28 (4 WPA), Wednesday 28 (4 WPA), Thursday 28 (4 WPA), Friday 32 (8 WPA) and Saturday 43 (19 WPA). This is a total of 35 WPA and 10 activity points used. I have a tempo on Wednesdays and a long run on Saturday. I am hoping that this will help me feel better. I'll do this for a few weeks and see if things improve. I'm also going to do my best to make sure that 95% of my points are REALLY good stuff. I've got to get the most bang for my buck if I am going to continue to train this hard and be able to feel good and lose weight.

SLOW run this morning. I didn't feel very good. Last week was my highest mileage week in a long time. I'll be that had something to do with it. My chest was really hurting a bunch. I saw Brady this afternoon and were are going to work at this. Now we get to go to Maceys for dessert with the kids. I am SO excited, I've got plenty of points for a nice DIPPED cone :)

Significant back pain through the night.  I'm not sure if it is just due to the work over from yesterday or yesterday was just the beginning of a flare up.  I have a call into Brady.  I skipped my run this morning as to not aggravate it, plus I was sleeping to make up for being awake for three hours in the middle of the night :p  I'm cleaning the house right now.  I figure some moving will do me good.  I'll skip the vacuuming and save it for the girls ;)

Pretty good pain last night at work.  I finally took some tylenol and that seemed to take the edge off of it.  I took a lortab before bed.  I slept well.  The pain this morning was pretty good.  No running today.  I am going to have Anna work me over after school and then again tonight.  I really need to run 2 miles the the next two days, each.  I don't need much, but I tend to be faster with even a little running.  I am really hoping to be pain free tomorrow and friday so I will know that Sat is going to be ok.  I am trying to eat really well to make sure I am ready for Saturday.

The tri I was thinking about for june 5th is out.  I am going to take a really low mile month and a 1/2.  This costochondritis can last up to 3 months :(  I am trying not to FREAK out, but I have been bursting in to tears intermittently.  Oh man.  stupid.  Oh, and did I mention that all I can think about is chocolate???  Thank heavens Michelle is planning a chocolate feast for Saturday night :)  Have I told you lately that I love you, Michelle????

I need to plan a healthy, low fat, low calorie, very good for me, birthday menu for tomorrow.  I don't want to go nuts becasue I am saving the NUTS for Saturday.  Nuts and chocolate....mmmmmmmmmmm.....

So, I have had a Festivus/Birthday miracle.  I had very little discomfort through the night :)  It's after lunch and still no real pain.  Just a dull ache, which is a HUGE improvement! :)  Here's hoping I have no pain tomorrow too :)  I really want this 1/2 of Saturday!

Day two of feeling GREAT!  Just a bit of residual soreness :)  I can live with that.  I was thinking about running, but I just don't want to risk it.  I am REALLY excited about the half.

At mile 4 my chest started to hurt.  Somewhere around mile 9 my knee went ballistic and hurt enough to significantly change my form.  My neuroma hurt from 6 on. At mile nine my chest pain went significantly up.  Did I mention that it rained, hailed AND snowed?  I didn't realize that my hands were frozen until at mile 9 I went to get two little Tylenol out of my tights pocket and it took me FOREVER.  My hands had no dexterity.  If this report sounds a bit whiney, it's because it is.  I am finally warm, 2 hours after the finish and a HOT bath (all the water heater), soaked until the water heater reheated then took a shower until there was not more hot water again.

This is a 2 minute PR for me, but I was really wanting to see those teens.  It should have been a significantly faster race for me.  Well, it is what it is and there is nothing I can do about it now.

My clothes are SOAKED.  I am tired but need to keep moving for at least an hour before I take a nap and turn into a lump of lactic acid.

KimR- thanks for running the first three miles with me :)  You are such a WONDERFUL friend.  You did a GREAT job on such a TERRIBLE race day :p  We are such fair weather runners :)

Thanks for the cheers, Luz and Alice.  It was SO great to see happy faces and HOT chocolate :) xoxoxo

Thanks Michelle for bringing me in :).  It was SO great to pick off Rainbow coat, cat in the hat dude, green shirt girls, and orange skirt lady.  You saved my last mile :)  You are the BEST!!  Congrats on an AWESOME time :)  Way to kick a minute off your projected time!
