2.46 in the snow!  That was an experience!  I think that when the roads are covered with snow AND it is snowing, I may just stick to the treadmill.  The snowflakes were stabbing me in my eyeballs!  It was REALLY hard to run up hill in the snow.  My calves were not enjoying it much.  I am going to wrestle the treadmill out of the laundry room and get the rest of my run done.

I got the treadmill out of the laundry room.  It took about a half hour!  I ran three more miles.  The treadmill wasn't as bad as I remember!  Yipee!  I am going to keep a paper on the tredmill to record my splits.

You are braver than I. I looked outside and just headed to the basement...

From leslie on Tue, Dec 16, 2008 at 10:10:22

You are a trooper! I am still trying to decide if I want to go out and run, probably not! Way to go!

From tarzan on Tue, Dec 16, 2008 at 10:25:15

Way to go Maid Marion! (that's why I wear sunglasses with orange lenses when running in the snow - keeps them out of my eyes).

I have to still run today. Was making up sleep and enjoying my puppy.

From marion on Tue, Dec 16, 2008 at 11:48:12

I can't move my treadmill! The beast is too heavy! ;)

One of my neighbors yelled to me that she had a treadmill I could borrow! My neighbors all think I have lost my mind. I think I have become addicted to my runs. I only got half in and am running around my house like a lunatic! The excess energy is not a good thing! I feel like a druggie who has not had their fix. Agitated... irritated and on the verge of tears! Maybe a diet Pepsi will help ;D

From seeaprilrun on Tue, Dec 16, 2008 at 12:11:56

I run with a baseball hat and a headband for my ears and that keeps the snow out of my eyes for the most part! I can just see you now, frantically running around because you need to... run!

From marion on Tue, Dec 16, 2008 at 12:13:28

My house is getting REALLY clean! ;D

From seeaprilrun on Tue, Dec 16, 2008 at 12:15:40

I am sitting on the couch and looking at my messy house and thinking it is NOT going to get clean today!

From marion on Tue, Dec 16, 2008 at 12:24:30

At least you have an excuse! You had an extreme snow run today. I had a WEIRD 1/2 run adventure than BEAT ME!!! I let old man winter WIN!!

My boys found a bag of Barbies that are on their way to good will! They are having so much fun! They are talking in squeeky voices and having a blast! "I can't find my shoes!"

From seeaprilrun on Tue, Dec 16, 2008 at 12:28:52

Heehee boys with Barbies--I would like to be a fly on the wall for that one! No barbies at my house yet since they are all boys except for my 1 year old--but I am sure barbie time is coming! Her baby and her doggy are her favorites right now! The rest of my house is covered in dumptrucks and legos--watch your step!

From marion on Tue, Dec 16, 2008 at 13:40:10

Yep- this christmas is ALL legos! The boys are going to love it! I don't think my youngest two have ever seen a barbie. It's pretty funny!

I got the treadmill out of the laundry room. It took about a half hour! I got three more miles in. It wasn't as bad as I remember! Yipee!

From The Howling Commando on Tue, Dec 16, 2008 at 15:24:31

Yay! :) Good job running in the snow today! ;D. I heard we are in for really bummer weather this week. :- Can't wait for spring!

From Smooth on Tue, Dec 16, 2008 at 15:39:29

Marion, you're a riot!!! You can come dejunk my house. I have to take a load to DI and the land fill. Gotta make room for my sons who are coming home for Christmas this Sat. So glad you have all these extra energy. Yup, you're addicted. GOOD JOB for getting your goal miles in!!! You are SO dedicated!!!

From marion on Tue, Dec 16, 2008 at 15:50:06

I just left 3 bags of little boy stuff on the porch for my neighbor to pick up. Hey, if you have any Lego's in your DI stuff, I'll take them! A lady at work just gave me a bag of Lego's. Her son just left on his mission. Yeah! The beauty of Lego's is that old or new, they are exactly the same and can exact the same pain when stepped on!

From Smooth on Tue, Dec 16, 2008 at 15:58:43

:D That just made me laugh out loud. Yeah, it's the same reason my hubby got rid of them the minute our oldest son moved to college. My youngest two boys never had the joy of playing with Lego's

From marion on Tue, Dec 16, 2008 at 16:03:25

Funny- My mom asked, when I told her that we were having a Lego Christmas, "Are you sure you are ready for Lego's?" We've had duplo's but no real ones thus far. The boys are very excited! I think my husband is excited the most!

From Smooth on Tue, Dec 16, 2008 at 16:10:49

Just make sure he doesn't go barefoot around the house. :D

From Jodi on Tue, Dec 16, 2008 at 19:39:56

That's dedication!! In the time it took you to drag out the treadmill, I probably would have decided to start fresh another day. You are awesome!!!

From Kelli on Tue, Dec 16, 2008 at 23:52:30

Treadmill not as bad as you remember? How can that be? Those things are awful!! But SAFE.

So, you have to tell me Brittney's WW story, the class is way too crowded to ask her.

From kelsey on Wed, Dec 17, 2008 at 02:34:21

Good run!!! And it's even better that you wanted to go further. As gross as it is I kinda miss snow... but I also really enjoyed the 80 degrees today :) I'm enjoying it while I can. I hope when I'm in Maryland for Christmas that I'll get to see few flurries at least. That way it actually feels like Christmas.

From Becca on Wed, Dec 17, 2008 at 08:52:20

I want a treadmill! It doesn't snow here, and the gym is only a mile away, so I don't exactly need one here, but brr...if I were someplace cold and snowy I think it's the way to go. Stay careful!
