Laps- 12:34 warm-up

10:43 - could talk and felt faster, but fine.  This is a slight down hill.

10:18 - wanted to talk, MUST talk, but no talkie!  felt ok

9:36 - no want to talk, no can talk.  slight, slight, up hill.  Legs got lead-like and breathing went to steam train instantaneously!  It felt REALLY good to STOP going this fast ;)

13:06- cool down, could talk again :)

Michelle came over this morning to run with me :D  OK- she really came over to squeeze three faster miles out of me, and VOILA!!!  she did :)   I weight 7 lbs less today than when I did the time trial 5k with Michelle a few weeks ago.  In 3 more lbs, I want to do the 5k again.  Maybe for Halloween : THANK YOU MICHELLE!!!!

One of my members sent this picture to me.  While I know I am not as heavy as the woman in the silhouette, this is my picture of the amazon goddess working her way out!  ;)  Yes, I really look like muscle girl under all of my lubb! ;D

You're lookin' good Marion! Nice in spandex too! The splits on my blog entry were by the mile markers, so I think you should go off them (especially for the last one).

From marion on Thu, Oct 16, 2008 at 11:15:55

I like your splits too! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR COMING AND HELPING ME! You are simply the BEST!!! Also, you deserved an easy run!! I am glad to be of service :) and YOUR spandex was the best with the shirt tuck and everything! HOT MAMA!!!

From kungfublonde on Thu, Oct 16, 2008 at 12:28:31

I printed out that picture and put it on my fridge. I'm not heavy like that silhouette either, but she represents a lifestyle. It's a great metaphor :)

From leslie on Thu, Oct 16, 2008 at 12:50:42

GREAT JOB!!! You speed demon you! Great Picture too! How nice to have Michelle's help! Lucky girl! Have a safe fun trip tomorrow!!

From marion on Thu, Oct 16, 2008 at 13:31:49

Thanks guys! I am getting excited to got on my trip!!! I need to get three slow miles in here pretty soon. I don't think I am going to have much luck running in CA. We'll see :)

From seeaprilrun on Thu, Oct 16, 2008 at 14:17:26

Way to work--getting faster and faster on the three miles--nice sub-10 mile at the end!

From Kelli on Thu, Oct 16, 2008 at 17:07:01

Marion, your posts make my day! You crack me up. It was very nice of that elite runner to come and hang with you---see, she is VERY nice and humble. And she is gonna have you racing her in no time---especially if you keep dropping weight like that!! You never cease to amaze me.

From montelepsy on Fri, Oct 17, 2008 at 00:22:23

Inspiring picture.

Supposedly you lose 2 sec per mile for every pound you drop and that doesn't take into account all the work you've put in developing your cardio and endurance. You're gonna blow your old time out of the water!

From Kelli on Fri, Oct 17, 2008 at 10:24:25

Hey, i have tested that 2 second theory (we must read the same magazines) and it WORKED!!! I even quit running while I was losing the weight for a bit and came back faster!!

From leslie on Fri, Oct 17, 2008 at 10:39:13

That is sooo cool, there is hope for me yet!! I thought I had read that somewhere too.

From montelepsy on Sat, Oct 18, 2008 at 11:12:03

You read "Skimpy Bikini Weekly"?

From Megan on Sat, Oct 18, 2008 at 14:35:13

Hi Marion! Love the picture! You are awesome, really dropping the pounds. And nice workout.

From Kelli on Sat, Oct 18, 2008 at 21:30:59

Ah, very funny! I wish I had quick wit like that---I have been sitting here for 10 minutes trying to think of a good reply to that, but nothing came to mind. DANG!

BUT I am a magazine junkie, so you never know!!!
