Gorgeous run today.  What fantastic weather!  Hopefully we will have the longest fall in all history :)  KimR and I ran up main street and back.  We ran in the shadow of the mountain.  The sun was up just as we were getting back home to my house.  It was perfect.  There is a straight down hill 2 block stretch and we ran that one fast.  The garmin said 7:45.  We sang Queen's "We are the Champions" down it.  It was LOUD and the neighbors had to be wonderings what in the world was going on.  Of course by the bottom of the hill we could not talk, let alone sing :)  Good times!

Have a wonderful weekend.  I am going to relax today and well... just relax!!!  Maybe I'll send the girls to red box for some flicks.  I LOVE watching movies and chillin'!

Great job on the week you are doing awsome. Thanks for all the encouragement over the past several weeks. I know I have a fan:) I look forward to seeing you progress over the next year. I should be fun!!!

From marion on Sat, Sep 27, 2008 at 11:33:28

Thanks Josse. What are your favorite post workout meals? I am SO hungry and want to lose weight but still have energy and be full-ish. I have been fooling around with many different combinations, but no magic bullet yet. Maybe I'll try potatoes? Any thoughts?

From josse on Sat, Sep 27, 2008 at 12:07:59

On sat. I have an egg w/cheese on whole wheat toast w/alittle butter and honey. Most days I do Holy cow brand yogurt (I like maple flavor and I do the cream top) with a seven grain mix that I add some grains as well to make it about 10 grain creral (I get this in the bulk at Good Earth) and also add bananas and walnuts. You can let the grains sit in the yogurt for a couple of mins. to soften. If I am in a hurry I will do a cold ceral (one with that is good for you) or whole wheat toast.

Marion -- What a fantastic day!! Let me know if you get something good to watch!! Always interested in what people like!! Have you seen Mamma Mia in the theatres!! It's definitely a "girls night out" type of film. Loved it!! Good for several laughs. (Atleast I think so.)

Laters!! Keep enjoying the day.

Thanks Josse! That helps! Have you been to the new store on state and University Pkway? They have GREAT prices!

THanks Teena! Mama Mia was GREAT! My husband even conceeded that it was "alright." I am still so mad that the new kate Hudson movie is R! I wanted to see it SO badly! I am hoping for "Penelope" for today.

Awesome workout marion! You really got in the miles this week...nice! Have fun watching movies... I love watching TV shows on DVD.

From Kelli on Sat, Sep 27, 2008 at 17:13:12

Ah, now that is a great running outfit AND a girl who obviously knows how to have fun!

Great work out again today. You are so amazing. Now, I want to see some push ups this week! If you can do Yoga, you can do push ups!

From marion on Sat, Sep 27, 2008 at 17:35:48

Kelli- I've been doing the pushups- just forgetting to post them :) Oops!

Megan- I am already watching Nancy Drew. I loved those books when I was a kid!

From Kelli on Sat, Sep 27, 2008 at 17:39:12

Okay, then, you have to edit your stuff so we all know just how amazing you are.

Music can make or break some runs. I loved it in 2007 when I hit mile 25 of Ogden Marathon and the song "If You're Going Through Hell (Keep on Going)" came on my ipod right then.

From marion on Sun, Sep 28, 2008 at 19:29:34

Perfect song, Maurine!! I swear that God controls the shuffle on my ipod!

From Kelli on Sun, Sep 28, 2008 at 19:33:30

That is funny, because in mile 24 of TOU last year I got to hear my STRONGER song (that that won't kill you makes you stronger....) I kept replaying it until I finished the marathon! It is now one of my favorite running songs---it reminds me the run could be worse (longer and harder).

What a great week of training! Next time show your migraine with a big salad :)

From marion on Sun, Sep 28, 2008 at 21:21:39

Michelle- that's a great idea about the Salad, but after 3 days of migraine I had lost all reason was was SO mad I resorted to the "DARN IT ALL TO HECK" technique ;D

From MichelleL on Sun, Sep 28, 2008 at 21:44:24

Always easier said than done ;)

From marion on Sun, Sep 28, 2008 at 21:51:02

That's for sure :)

Just a quick hello and thank you for letting me tag along with you all today at the Strides for Breast Cancer walk at Liberty Park. You guys are awesome! I had such a nice run with you all. I have set up my page, but am still trying to figure out how to navigate through the whole site. I hope to run with you all sometime again soon. Lynn

From marion on Sat, Oct 11, 2008 at 20:15:55

Hey Lynn!

It was SO great to meet you today!! I will pop over to your blog!!!

EVERYONE else- go say Hi to Lynn! She's a super cool runner we all met today at the Cancer event today! :D

From Lynnshine on Sat, Oct 11, 2008 at 22:05:29

OK...I must be a little slow...I can't find the workout calendar. I'm looking for it and trying to figure out where to find it....I'm feeling computer illiterate!

From marion on Sat, Oct 11, 2008 at 22:29:41

Once you log in (top left corner) then the calender should show up. If it does not then there will be a pink menu along the left side. One of the buttons says workout calendar. Click on it and it will bring up a calendar. Try that and then let me know if it works :)
