I started running in May of 2006 while losing 85 lbs after my youngest was born.  I have 6 fantastic kids, 3 girls and 3 boys and a wonderful husband.  My oldest is in college and my baby is in pre-school. (Six kids in 5 schools ;)

I am so glad that I seem to be coming back just fine from my calf injury. I am pretty sure what went wrong. I was not running slow enough on most of my days. I was also running the natural hills around my home every day and not enough flat runs. I also did that little sprint on the day it pulled. Running slow and relaxed most of the time and flat routes 1/2 of the time is making a HUGE difference. I recovered from the 5k a ton faster with no complications, only a little calf tightness.

This week is a cut back week. I'll only be running 21.5 miles this week. I will be biking to make up the time so I get 90 minutes every day. David adjusted my handle bars and that has helped a TON. I also bought some fancy gloves, which has also shown a great deal of benefit.  Yoga is planned for 60 minutes each day as well.  Surrender fat, surrender!!!

Nutrition plan for the week. I will continue to eat mainly whole foods (90/10 split J ). I am going to put some time frames on my meal times. I am one of those slothful servants who must be commanded in ALL things J . I find that as with ALL disciplines, rules and structure are quite helpful as you acquire new skills and habits. As I mentioned in my diatribe last week, I have ignored my body’s requests for so long, that it has been a bit tricky to learn to hear it’s needs clearly. I also am in the habit of ignoring it, and need some work there.

I am very confident that over the next year I will see the progress I am looking for. I just need to remember patients for my body and my inner self. I can do this! I can do hard things J!

Have a WONDERFUL Sunday!!! Great racing, everyone!  I am feeling quite ill today, so I am going to rest!  I think it is just a cold ;)  Although it could be a major aversion to attending Stake Conference with my sweet little boys!  Good luck, Honey!!!

Oh yeah- We, David, the kids and I went to Salt Lake last night to Leslie's benefit fundraiser party for her Son-in-law Paul who has recently suffed a major stroke.  I was really a great party and wonderful to see so many people there to support Paul, Julie and Les.  Thanks for inviting us Leslie.  The food was great and we had a wonderful time.  The kids love their t-shirts and fought over the leftovers for breakfast this morning!  You are an amazing lady to put all of that together!!!

Marion, It was so nice to see you and your family at our event. We were thrilled with the way it all came together and for the awesome turn out. I just wanted to be able to stop all the chaos for a few minutes and sit down and chat with you,but it was pretty wild. You and your family were so patient with the very slow food, you guys are a class act. The caterers were terribly slow and it was my only big complaint about the evening. Your children are adorable! I wanted to steal Ford and the little blonde headed charmer with the chocolate cake face. He reminded me of my Chris, the stunt rider....watch out!! I am looking forward to a time we can get together for a run and I won't be as frazzled! Thanks again Marion, you are an amazing friend!!!

It was great to see you too! I sure hope that it went well $$$ wise and you were able to make what you had hoped. As for the food wait, I'm not sure the polinesian culture is a great combination for catering ;) Too layed back :D I am just kidding of corse! The food was great and don't worry about it AT ALL! The oreo brownies you sent us home with were divine. The watermelon was tasty too. I am a wateremelon-aholic after all :)
