I am still really congested but No fever and NO cough ;)  The run was tiresome and long, but done.

I hope everyone has a GREAT day!  And, NO- the body they found down here was no where near where I run at all.  I have biked over there, though.

Big kudos for running sick!!!

Yikes, they found a body in your area? Scary! Well, in your area that is... people are attacked and murdered a block away from my house here in DC... hopefully it's nothing to be concerned about!

From Burt on Tue, Nov 18, 2008 at 11:58:39

Scary stuff. I didn't think murders happened in Utah until I saw Brigham City. LOL.

From Burt on Tue, Nov 18, 2008 at 11:59:04

(I don't know why I'm laughing.)

From kungfublonde on Tue, Nov 18, 2008 at 11:59:17

You know, you burn double the calories when you run while feeling crummy. True story :)

Dont' tell Mike about bodies or murders. He already wants me and the girls to stay locked in the house until he gets home. He asked me to buy a big dog to help protect us (I guess he thought the pug wasn't doing the job). So when I got Penelope I sent him a picture. He thought it might be a rotweiler, or maybe a doberman and he was happy knowing I'd have a killer guard dog in the house. Imagine his dismay when he discovered she's a trusty, protective wiener dog!

From marion on Tue, Nov 18, 2008 at 12:04:28

Yeah for the double calories!!! :)

Burt- it's OK to laugh :) Utah is a funny place, especially for a California girl ;)

Lucia- Things are pretty quite around these parts. They are assuming he was murdered (I am assuming it's a "he") Hopefully it was some random thing and not some wacko!! :) Ok all murderers are WACKO's.

Mike- don't read this :)

Marion,

Nice work. Any cowboy sneezes along the way?

Hon,

Maybe you could just get a recording of a big dog and blast it on the stereo.

From marion on Tue, Nov 18, 2008 at 12:14:18

Oh man- talk about cowboy sneezes! Yikes! But hey- my sinuses are clear now :)

From Kelli on Tue, Nov 18, 2008 at 14:26:10

Glad to know the illness is moving along. Take care of yourself!!

I had no idea they had found a body. I need to watch the news. I will have to ask Scott if he has the inside scoop---sometimes he still knows things!!

And, lastly, my little cocker spaniel growing up was named Penelope. I even named her. Such a cool dog name!!

From Metcalf Running on Tue, Nov 18, 2008 at 15:53:12

Way to go... you are tough, I hope you get feeling better soon, but way to go for running when you dont' feel well.

From leslie on Tue, Nov 18, 2008 at 16:30:20

Marion, glad it wasn't your body! I hope you can stay healthy!

My son has a dog named Penelope!

Okay, I could read the blogs all day, but I must go do weights.

See ya'll!

From kungfublonde on Tue, Nov 18, 2008 at 16:33:29

Wow, we totally thought we gave her the most origial name ever...!

Even our vet said she is the first Dachshund named Penelope she has ever treated. It's a good name. A long naame for a long dog!

From marion on Tue, Nov 18, 2008 at 16:36:21

Hey all you fun people! I am quite sure it has morphed into a sinus infection. I am going to see the Doc tomorrow :) Yeah!!!

I am ready to get a motion sensor hooked up to a dog bark to get rid of the neighbors cats. Our yard has become their litter box! :(

From Burt on Tue, Nov 18, 2008 at 16:57:04

We have a stuffed monkey named Penelope. It's not real It's a toy.

My brother-in-law told me while he was vacuum sealing up a bunch of meat yesterday that they no longer have a problem with cats using their yard as a litter box. I'm not sure if the story had anything to do with what he was doing at the moment, but I wasn't going to ask.

From kungfublonde on Tue, Nov 18, 2008 at 16:59:03

Burt just cracked me up. Again.

Don't eat the cats, Marion. :)

It's so gross when cats do that. My mom has the same problem with neighbor cats at her house. They haven't been able to fix it... if you come up with a good solution please let me know so I can tell my mom!

From montelepsy on Tue, Nov 18, 2008 at 17:01:15

Maybe he was packing cat meat.

From Lucia on Tue, Nov 18, 2008 at 17:10:49

Ha! I can't get my cat to use our back yard as litter box! He goes outside and just walks around, then when he needs to go, he comes back to the house and uses his litter box!

I thought that the stuffed monkey named Penelope was what scared the cats away from using the yard as a litter box!!!

From kungfublonde on Tue, Nov 18, 2008 at 17:12:30

Ugh Lucia- we have a cat that does that too. She comes IN to the garage to go potty. At least I can keep the box there instead of in the house. But still, I'd really like to just not have to maintain it at all!!

From marion on Tue, Nov 18, 2008 at 17:36:03

I wouldn't mind if they burried it, but they just poop on the lawn like dogs and my kids step in it.

I don't think I'd like to eat cat meat. :p

OUR cats used the litter box!
