I ran the Onion Day 5k FLAT route today.  I am not a big fan of flat.  Oh well.  The weather was very beautiful and I got to sleep in :)  David has meetings in Salt Lake today so he didn't have to go so early this morning.  My calves are starting to get really tense again.  I have been rubbing them and stretching them a ton.  My head is ok today.  I've got to get the stress in my life under control.

I am off to start my day.  I am going to go on the canal trail with the bike and see where it goes in Springlake.  It's a mystery I need to solve :)

Good miles Marion, glad to see that you didn't have a headache today...stress is a killer. Yep stretch, rub, ice all the stuff we all say, but never do enough of, at least for me :)

Thanks Lori! I am going to go rub them right now!! ;)

I think you need to put your self on the top of your list, and learn to say NO, you are a do-er, you need to slow down, get in your "yoga zone" and remind yourself to take it easy. Stress causes most all of our illness I think ( that is coming from the massage therapist in me) it is crippling. Be Selfish with your time and where you spend your energy. You and your kids will be a lot happier, and your hubby!!!

Thanks Les- I am working on it. I have a new favorite country song "My Give A Damn's Busted" by JoDee Massena. I am working on that as my new theme song :)

I love the appropriate distribution of videos. I'm thinking of changing my blog name to "if you're going through hell, don't slow down!" Such a great message all the way around. I loved it. Keep on moving, face that fire, just walk right through it. I can't wait till my 'give a damn's busted'. Just curious how you made the leap from the Smiths to country? You must be a lyrics girl. Thanks for sharing! Made my day.

I am one of those people who like nearly all music :) And you MUST change your blog title :D

My give a damn has been busted for a while in many areas of my life. The house keeping part broke after my third child was born. My "What's for dinner" give a darn broke a few years ago. When they looked at me and ask why we are having cold creal for dinner I say, "Your just going to poop it out tomorrow, so who cares" The first time I said that, they looked at me like I had lost my mind. I didn't realize at the time that my "give a damn" had just busted ! :)

From Ali on Tue, Sep 30, 2008 at 14:38:01

IF it was really busted you wouldn't be out bustin your behind to stay in shape. Keep up the good work!

From Camille on Tue, Sep 30, 2008 at 14:48:58

where you able to solve the mystery?

I love that song by JoDee Massena. (Especially when I'm in a certain mood) LOL!

From leslie on Tue, Sep 30, 2008 at 14:58:47

I loved the song!! You go sassy Marion!! I think you know exactly what to do to rid yourself of stress!!! I am going to adopt that attitude a little more!!!!! I think it is very healthy and liberating!!!

Rub the CRAP out of those calves!!!

From marion on Tue, Sep 30, 2008 at 16:28:38

Les- I will rub them and love them and NOT SPRINT ON THEM. That is the bad boy that always makes them snap! :(

Ali- You are right, the exercise "give a darn" is for sure still in high gear. :)

Camille- which one??? ... there are so many mysteries in my life :)

From tarzan on Tue, Sep 30, 2008 at 17:10:38

Marion - have you seen the YouTube video on everything a mother says in a day in 2.5 minutes? You would appreciate that.

Another song that I love is Cherie Call's "How to Climb a Mountain".

From Camille on Tue, Sep 30, 2008 at 17:13:13

Tarzan - even better, have you seen that same comedian's video about what a dad does in a day? Hilarious!
