I was glad you were feeling good enough to run. It was fun getting to know you better.

Good job organizing this morning's adventure. (Next time you can leave out the uphills).

From jona on Sat, Nov 01, 2008 at 12:04:01

Nice run Marion, you are awesome. I'm really glad you organized this run. It was very good for me to get out with others. Thank you!

Oh, and yes those hills worked me!

PS, I have had that disappearing entry thing happen too. Sooooooo, before I hit post I copy the whole thing EVERY TIME so if it happens I have a copy, and I can just paste it in a re-try.

From marion on Sat, Nov 01, 2008 at 12:13:16

i did copy it! It is my fool proof way to not lose an entry! My computer must be posessed!

It was SO great to see you both!! THANK YOU FOR COMING!!! Jon, where was the chocolate dipped bacon?

Those hills were AWESOME! They make for a cute bum!!!

From jona on Sat, Nov 01, 2008 at 12:48:35

That is a bummer about your possessed PC.

I'm sorry I forgot to bring the chocolate bacon. I did remember to bring some Swedish Fish, but then I forgot to leave them for you guys. First thing to go!

And a cute bum is always important.

From Kelli on Sat, Nov 01, 2008 at 12:53:10

I wanted my Swedish Fish, that is why I came. DANG!

Sorry your entry disappeared, I bet it was really good and very entertaining!! Thanks for organizing the run, we have to do this more often. I need all of you guys to move into my neighborhood---half of the house are for sale, so it would work! We can be the running neighborhood!! THEN, everyone would be good at hills becasue you have no choice out here!

Scott and I are in for Painters, so keep me posted. I am sure we can recruit more. What did Teena say, I need more apples??

From jona on Sat, Nov 01, 2008 at 12:55:21

I'm signed up for Painters. We should have a blog party.

From jona on Sat, Nov 01, 2008 at 12:55:48

Oh, sorry about the Swedish Fish Kelli!

From Kelli on Sat, Nov 01, 2008 at 13:01:59

You stole my Swedish Fish and you spelled my name wrong. WOW, are we still friends??

I think we will have quite a bunch of people doing Painters. A PARTY must be thrown!

From Kelli on Sat, Nov 01, 2008 at 13:09:20

THANKS for fixing that. I am very sensitive about how you spell my name. Kidding, it is not even my real name!

From jona on Sat, Nov 01, 2008 at 13:12:25

What are you talking about KELLI? :-)

Of course we are Friends, silly girl! :-)

From marion on Sat, Nov 01, 2008 at 13:12:45

I noticed that on the Onion DAys run. Waht is your name?

From jona on Sat, Nov 01, 2008 at 13:17:04

Sorry about the spelling.

I have had a friend from work that his name is Kelly. For the life of me I have a hard time switching. Kelly is SUPPOSED to run Painters, as is Sunnyrun, but I don't think there is a lot of training going on.

And I remember that I saw your "real" name on a race site. Hummmm, what was it?????? I think I may have to go see. :-)

From Kelli on Sat, Nov 01, 2008 at 13:17:19

It is a SECRET. This BLOGGING life is all a masquerade for who I REALLY am. My entire life is a facade.

From Kelli on Sat, Nov 01, 2008 at 13:22:58

Okay, we will see if Jon can FIND it. If not, I will tell you. It really is not a secret.

From jona on Sat, Nov 01, 2008 at 13:29:51

I can find it, but got sidetracked with reading a blog on Onion days. Interesting read.

http://www.kickrunners.com/forum/showthread.php?t=37300

Which one of you "cutie pie"s was he talking about? He took 3rd in AG, right behind me, so KELLI?????

From Kelli on Sat, Nov 01, 2008 at 13:37:47

Oh, shute, what was my time??? I wonder if it was KellieS, she was the next runner in behind me (I think), and there was a guy behind her. But, Kellie, look at someone like they were an axe murderer?? Doubt that. Maybe it was me, I am pretty mean, and I was TICKED after that race because I was so tired, I did not chick you (kidding, big smile) and it was too fast for me!!!

That is too funny!

From Kelli on Sat, Nov 01, 2008 at 13:38:52

"... I bet you wish you knew who you were racing for 2nd AG so you could pass him decisively. "

Wasn't that you???

From jona on Sat, Nov 01, 2008 at 13:41:23

That was me, and had I known I had 3rd right behind me I would have tried a little harder, I wasn't near puke pace yet, so I could have done more.

I think it was you or Kellie.

From jona on Sat, Nov 01, 2008 at 13:42:43

Kinda funny to read about yourself through someone else' perspective. (well in this case its just mentioned, but still kinda fun.)

From Kelli on Sat, Nov 01, 2008 at 13:47:25

I was at puke pace, good thing he did not catch me! I had no ideas I was SOOO FAST!!!

Alright, my name is Mikelle.

From jona on Sat, Nov 01, 2008 at 13:48:47

Thats what I was thinking your name was, but I couldn't remember the spelling. And the way I'm going today, I better not try!!!!!!!!

From Kelli on Sat, Nov 01, 2008 at 13:52:00

The spelling is STUPID!! And my brother named his daughter that and spelled it the same way. It should be McKell, then people would not mispronounce it as Michael (part of the reason I hate my name).

I so want to post to that guy or PM and see who the cutie pie was. If he was behind KellieS, then it was her, but if not, I am MEAN apparently! And I hate to leave the wrong impression as I am the nicest person out there, but Scott pushed me hard in that race and I was not a happy camper when I finished it! You have to give me about 10 minutes to relocate myself!

***Okay, I just checked and KellieS was 3 seconds ahead of him! It was her!!!! Wow, I did know she could look scary.

From marion on Sat, Nov 01, 2008 at 13:55:38

Cutie pie Mikelle. So where did Kelli come from?

From Kelli on Sat, Nov 01, 2008 at 13:57:45

My older brother (he was 2 when I was born) could not say my name. So he always called me Kel, and it stuck. Funny, he is the one who named his daughter Mikelle. Anyway, no one in my family ever called me Mikelle unless I was in trouble, so I kind of hated hearing it! Now that I am a grown up, I am used to it. My dad always calls me Mikelle (I guess I am still always in trouble).

From Teena on Sat, Nov 01, 2008 at 14:06:06

Marion, it was SO MUCH FUN MEETING YOU!!! So glad I was able to come and join in the fun. Thank you, thank you, thank you. And the hot chocolate was a really nice touch ... especially with the fancy cups!!

Thanks again!

From leslie on Sat, Nov 01, 2008 at 14:10:11

Holly cow! This is alot of blogging and we barely got home! Thanks Marion and Kelli for a PERFECT morning. Harold took some beautiful pictures. We are having trouble posting them, so hopefully Maurine will help us out and then give us a lesson! I love you guys!!! I can't wait for the next run together and then Painters!!

From jona on Sat, Nov 01, 2008 at 14:28:11

Kelli, I don't know what that guy was talking about. I saw you and Kellie right after, and neither of you were scary. He was at the point of vomit, he just didn't want to admit it. When your at that point you think weird things.

Your both some of the nicest runners around. :) Let it feel good that he used you (or Kellie) as a goal and he couldn't catch you! So that is kinda like chicking him!

From Kelli on Sat, Nov 01, 2008 at 14:32:31

I had to have chicked him at some point, although he claims no one did, because my first miles were not as fast as his!! Funny guy, maybe it was just easier to say we were scary (or SHE was scary as it had to have been her).

Okay, I need to go be productive! Scott is almost done cleaning, so I have to go act like I have been doing something!

From jona on Sat, Nov 01, 2008 at 14:42:11

You know, I was thinking that too, you passed him. There was a couple people we passed at the end, I remember thinking there was a guy that looked like he could be in my AG, we passed him and some women in the last mile. But they could have been 5k'ers.

I think if a guy marks a "cutie pie" for passing/catching in a race, but then doesn't ever catch her, he has been CHICKED! Careful who you mark for passing!

From seeaprilrun on Sat, Nov 01, 2008 at 15:18:04

Good job on that 10 mile run! You can sneak a little Halloween candy now with no guilt!!!

From marion on Sat, Nov 01, 2008 at 15:54:27

April- I am not thinking what I have eaten can qualify as a "little." I need veggies BAD!!! ;D

From The Howling Commando on Sat, Nov 01, 2008 at 19:59:17

SO HAPPY FOR YOU MARION! :) What a great run :-D You = super mom!

From Smooth on Sun, Nov 02, 2008 at 15:08:13

Marion !!! THANK YOU for organizing this run. You are the BEST!!! I'm so glad I finally got to meet you.

Thank you for the smorgesbord of hot chocolate. I am a chocoholic. I will take chocolate in any form anytime.

O, I will run with you great friends any day!!!

FYI, I'm running Painters. My hubby and I "need more apples".

From leslie on Sun, Nov 02, 2008 at 18:00:50

Okay, I am in on Painters too! I also need more apples! It will be a PARTY!

From Kelli on Sun, Nov 02, 2008 at 21:58:07

Well, then, I hope there are enough APPLES to go around. It will be a PARTY!

From marion on Sun, Nov 02, 2008 at 22:01:58

Looks like 8 for apples. Sound perfect and fun! I'll firm it up tomorrow! ;)

From jona on Mon, Nov 03, 2008 at 01:14:28

What is the deal with apples? Something else I missed by not staying around Saturday?

From m on Mon, Nov 03, 2008 at 08:10:46

yes! ;D

From Teena on Mon, Nov 03, 2008 at 10:31:02

Marion --

Did you count me in for apples? I'm thinking apples sound good!!

From marion on Mon, Nov 03, 2008 at 15:09:29

Teena- you are very welcome, but I thought you had your own apples? I'll put you down- we'd LVOE to share our apples!!! ;) The more the marrier. The apples will be very flop house-ish. so let me know if you change your minds about the apples.

Ok- here is the low down on the apples-

1 king size apple(in a room)

2 full/queen apples (lisa couldn't remember which) in a large room together

Sleeper sofa apple in loft

3 roll away twin apples.

4 tv's

hot tub for bobbing for apples

Apple eaters-

Marion & David

Kelli & Scott

Smooth and ultra smooth

Leslie and Hal

Teena and Mr. Teena

Tarzan???

From Kelli on Mon, Nov 03, 2008 at 15:13:15

Wow, they have room for a lot of apples!!! We could have a regular PARTY!!!

I was thinking Teena and smooth were coming without hubbies??

We need this place for every ST George event!

From marion on Mon, Nov 03, 2008 at 15:17:13

They may sell next fall, but she said it is ours if they still own it (for St George). Yeah- we need to know how many apples are in pairs :) I am sure David will bring the Wii.

From Kelli on Mon, Nov 03, 2008 at 15:22:26

I want a Wii so bad, but my kids do not!! They want a PlayStation 3 so that they can still use all of their old games. They are being far more logical than I am about it.

Maybe we should all BUY it!?!

From marion on Mon, Nov 03, 2008 at 15:30:38

The FRB condo. Teh only problem is that we would all want it on the same weekends ;)

From Kelli on Mon, Nov 03, 2008 at 15:33:30

Yup, we would have to SHARE.

From marion on Mon, Nov 03, 2008 at 15:34:58

How do people afford things like condos?

From Kelli on Mon, Nov 03, 2008 at 15:37:01

Dead relatives???

I dunno, ask Teena, Kellie, and so many others who have them!! They are probably really frugal and smart with their money. Or, they did not marry a poor cop???

From marion on Mon, Nov 03, 2008 at 15:40:17

I need someone to leave me some $$$!

From Teena on Mon, Nov 03, 2008 at 16:37:39

Marion,

I haven't looked into our timeshare yet, but I don't want to be by myself. If we run out of apples I will look into my timeshare as well and we could use both bushels!! :)

Btw, I will likely be coming without Ryan.

And Sweet Miss Kelli ... I wish I owned a condo!! We only have a timeshare. :)

From marion on Mon, Nov 03, 2008 at 16:42:41

No problem Teena- You have got an apple with us :D You can't be alone. That would be NO fun!!! I am really looking forward to this trip!!! Now we all just have to WIN!!! Well, I just want a sub 2 hour, which will MAYBE happen. I really just have to do a half before I turn 40, reguardless of the time, so I think I am safe!

From The Howling Commando on Tue, Nov 04, 2008 at 18:22:08

HOLY JUNK MUNK!!! I missed your time! YOU FREAKIN FLEW!!!! 6:54 PACE! You rock chica!!!! Holy cow!!!! You are a beast :)!~

From marion on Tue, Nov 04, 2008 at 18:28:24

Oh CRAP- It was 2:09!!! Don't be too impressed. I have a hard time with numbers. No flying here- I am not Michelle, as much as I would like to be ;)

From Sasha Pachev on Fri, Nov 07, 2008 at 16:17:27

From the instructions at the add entry/edit entry page:

"If you are typing up a long entry, periodically hit Save as Draft. This will help you not lose it if something goes wrong with your computer, your internet connection, or something wrong on our end."

You are not the first one that lost an entry since I've put those instructions up. Do you have any suggestions to make those instructions more visible or to re-word them so that they would be easier to understand and follow?

From marion on Fri, Nov 07, 2008 at 16:24:16

Thanks Sasha- I had copied and pasted the whole entry to spell check it and lost it from my clipboard as well. It was just a fluke. The instructions are clear and my entry wasn't very long. The only bug I have noticed is that the save draft/edit button takes me back to the calender and does not keep me on the entry page. This blog is really cool, Sasha- you do a GREAT job!!

From The Howling Commando on Sat, Nov 08, 2008 at 07:03:27

Sasha, you're 35 right? I say we rewrite the books and make it so SASHA PACHEV 2012 - The RIGHT CHOICE :D haha

From marion on Sat, Nov 08, 2008 at 09:10:34

Great idea Benn, except Sasha has far to many morals and is incorruptable! Sad but true- along with the whole book rewrite ;) Hey, but so long as we are rewriting the books I say lets vote for Margaret Thatcher. I heard her speak once in college and she was REMARKABLE. Is she still alive?

From Sasha Pachev on Tue, Nov 11, 2008 at 23:05:52

Marion:

I've fixed the Save Draft and Edit bug.

From marion on Tue, Nov 11, 2008 at 23:34:26

Thanks Sasha! :D

From marion on Mon, Dec 01, 2008 at 18:06:38

Hey all you Apple Eaters (for Painters 1/2) Please let me know if you are still planing on it. I have a list of who had wanted the apples above. Teena is probably not going. I need to shore it up so let me know asap! ;)

From jona on Mon, Dec 01, 2008 at 18:32:06

WHAT is the deal with the apples?

I will be running Painters. Are we having a before/after party/get together?

From Kelli on Mon, Dec 01, 2008 at 18:43:03

Scott and I are in for the APPLES!!!! Let us know.

Oh, he snores really loud.

From Smooth on Thu, Dec 04, 2008 at 23:51:11

Larry and I are in for the APPLES. We both snore, but I snore the loudest...even woke myself up with my own snoring. ghzzzghzzzghggh...

From marion on Fri, Dec 05, 2008 at 00:27:51

Don't worry about the snoring, I think there is a not-so-silent majority who snore. I don't, but my husband can bring down the house! It's a good thing he's so cute!

Maybe as part of our training for the half, we should learn to sleep with ear plugs! ;)

From Kelli on Fri, Dec 05, 2008 at 17:08:29

I may have to sleep in the car!!
