I woke up at 4:48 am.  It was clear that I was up for the day so I got up and did my yoga class and then went running.  Now I just need to get the boys ready and bike :)  I have so much to do today and I need to get going.  The run was nice and somewhat relaxing.  I am feeling VERY stressed right now by many things in my life.  I am going to take a look at what can be cut out.  We will see how that goes.

Have a great day!  I am sure I am going to need a nap very soon :)

Running- 3.6, 44:47, ave12:27, best 7:08, Laps- 13:12, 13:01, 12:08, 10:48 (.6)

Biking 55 minutes converts to 4.6 miles  Oh my GOSH!!!  I decided for fun to take a route that I normally bike without the boys.  Let's just say that when i ride alone it takes 37 minute!  It took me 55:37!  I am wiped out! :D  But I think that is a good thing.

Yoga- 62 minutes  Great class today.  We did my favorites- headstands!  We did hand stands and fore arm stands too.  I am amazed at how much my IT band has stopped bothering me since I have resumed my yoga practice.  Yeah!!

Push ups-  I am going to try the website Kelli suggested http://hundredpushups.com/ and see if I can EVER do more than 2 push ups!  EEK!!!  I thougth I was trying to downsize my life ;)

You're getting some good miles in. I'll bet that yoga + running will give you a boost in your busy day. I hope you can find time for a little nap! :)

From leslie on Tue, Sep 16, 2008 at 10:27:05

Doesn't it feel good to have your work out done so early in the day? 4:48, thats pretty crazy girl! I am going to go check out the birks today I hope. I hope you can find some things to cross off your list! Simplify is the word of the day!!!! Have a great day and a great nap~

From Kelli on Tue, Sep 16, 2008 at 10:59:06

It is hard to simplify with 6 kids (or 5). I feel your pain!! Just do not cross off any ME time, it is important!

Great job today! I need to get a Yoga tape, i just do the Yoga class once a week and it is not enough.

From marion on Tue, Sep 16, 2008 at 11:44:27

Forget the yoga tapes- they are boring and repetitive. I go to yogatoday.com There is a new class everyday and they rotate between three instructors. I like the variety and it's FREE!!! It is streaming online so you can do it anytime. There is also a cataloge of past classes. It is my favorite :)

Oh and I am not crossing off ANY me time. But I do quite a bit of volunteer stuff that is going to go straight out of the window. :D I have been practicing saying "no" and I can almost say it to another person ;)

From Barry on Tue, Sep 16, 2008 at 12:37:37

Great workout. I would be exhausted after that kind of workout. Keep it up! I am sorry you are stressed. At least for me the running helps with my stress level. Just ask my wife, when i can not run my stress level goes way up.. Keep up the great work!! Also, have a good day!!

From marion on Tue, Sep 16, 2008 at 14:16:31

Thanks guys & gals :) I actually think I figured out my problem. I'm sick. My sweet baby got me sick :( I have a fever and pretty much want to just watch TV and sleep. I figured it out when I got home from biking and instead of being my normal temp, I was FREEZING! I've got a fever and a cough. I am going to stay down for a few days (I may run if I feel ok in the morning ;) I am trying to get a sub for work with no luck so far. I ususally get over stuff really fast,so here's hoping!

From Kelli on Tue, Sep 16, 2008 at 14:26:14

Oh, so sorry! Get well soon!

From Kelli on Tue, Sep 16, 2008 at 14:29:14

Oh, I just noticed that you added the push-up routine, too!!! Wait until next week when you feel better.

From marion on Tue, Sep 16, 2008 at 14:31:48

Thank you Dr. Kelli- I'll start the push-ups later. Hey if I am sick, does the "kelli rule" change to 2 treats and a diet pepsi?

From Kelli on Tue, Sep 16, 2008 at 14:37:55

Yes, it most assuredly does! In fact, have as many treats as you need to feel better. And FOR SURE have the diet Pepsi.

From leslie on Tue, Sep 16, 2008 at 14:40:16

Shame shame shame on you girls! I am going to tell Sasha and you will both be grounded!

From Teena on Tue, Sep 16, 2008 at 14:43:21

Marion, you and your headstands!! Love it! Please take care of yourself and getting feeling better really soon.

From marion on Tue, Sep 16, 2008 at 16:24:56

Thanks Kelli :)

And Leslie- Sasha reads my blog on occation. He knows I'm a goof off, trying to not be so big of one :D Michelle says I need some Zicam. I'm gonna go get some as soon as a babysitter gets home :)

Teena- You'd love them too :D A warning to the wise- the first time I tried one, I did not listen to my instructor and I "broke" my neck. Fortunatly, my chiropractor is SO nice and met me at his office to fix me :) So if you are going to do the head stands, you need a good instructor and a lot of core strenght. One time after a 5k I did one and you'd a thought I had gotten a 15 minute 5k or something. Hey- that is my calling. Since my race times are nothing very special, I can be the side show at the end of races! Entertainment :D

From Lucia on Tue, Sep 16, 2008 at 16:30:37

You are a machine!!! Nice work girl. Sorry I've been missing in action - I'll be back soon. Sometimes life just gets crazy. I need to get more organized. Seriously, I don't know how you do it with kids! I was petsitting for my neighbor and one dog was already too much for me! Keep up the good work!

From marion on Tue, Sep 16, 2008 at 16:33:05

A strange do in the house makes for a ton of extra work. I am so glad to hear you are alive and well :D

From Megan on Tue, Sep 16, 2008 at 23:57:24

wow...4:48am, you didn't waste anytime today, lol. Do you go to an early morning yoga class?... Well, I'm impressed with your workout! Headstands and arm balances are tough, but so rewarding. Have a good evening:)

From marion on Wed, Sep 17, 2008 at 00:08:03

Hi MEgan- unfortunatly there are no yoga studios around here that I can attend :( I go to yogatoday.com where they have streaming classes online. I went to a studio for 2+ years until my schedule changed and I couldn't attend the only morning class they offered :( A instructor in Arkansas told me about yogatoday.com and I am forever in her debt! They have 3 different instructors and a different class everyday. THe instructors are all trained in different yoga styles, which I have found really useful in my practice. Headstands are my absolute favorite. I hope someday to have the strength and balance for the handstand. I still feel so lucky I ever tried yoga at all. It's a blessing in my life :)

You can join me in the pushups! I was starting week 4 at work (we do them together) before going to Italy. I had great plans to do them each day there, but marble floors everywhere kind of ended that plan - so I will go back a week or two and start over.

From marion on Mon, Sep 22, 2008 at 19:17:29

I will be joining you Maurine! I am such a push-up wimp! I need help! :D
